Երեխաների համար շաքարի ի՞նչ քանակի օգտագործումն է անվտանգ

Երեխաներն օրական ի՞նչ քանակության շաքար կարող են օգտագործել՝ առանց առողջությանը վնաս պատճառելու: Այս հարցին պատասխանել են Էմորի համալսարանի գիտնականները, որոնց հետազոտության մասին հայտնել է Circulation ամսագիրը:
Գիտնականների կարծիքով՝ մինչեւ երկու տարեկան երեխաների օրվա սննդաբաժնից պետք է շաքարն ամբողջովին բացառել, քանի որ հենց այդ տարիքում են ձեւավորվում սննդային հակումները, եւ եթե փոքրիկը քաղցրին վարժվում է, նրան դրանից հետ վարժեցնելն արդեն ուղղակի անհնար կլինի: Ավելի մեծ տարիքի երեխաներին կարելի է օրական թեյի վեց գդալից (25 գրամ) ոչ ավելի շաքար օգտագործել:
Խնդիրն այն է, որ ծնողներից շատերը չեն էլ պատկերացնում, թե իրենց երեխաները որքան շաքար են օգտագործում: Օրինակ՝ կոլայի միայն մեկ շշում պարունակվում է 39 գրամ շաքար՝ փոքր-ինչ ավելի, քան ցանկացած երեխային կարելի է օրական օգտագործել: Դրանից բացի, շաքար շատ է պարունակվում էներգետիկ ըմպելիքներում, սառը թեյերում, սոուսներում եւ հրուշակեղենում:
Գիտնականների խոսքով՝ ըմպելիքները եւ շաքարի բարձր պարունակությամբ կերակուրը չարաշահող երեխաներն առողջ սնունդ քիչ են ուտում՝ մրգեր, բանջարեղեն եւ ցածր յուղայնությամբ կաթնամթերքներ, այդպիսով նրանց օրգանիզմը չի ստանում վիտամինների եւ հանքանյութերի անհրաժեշտ քանակ: Քանի որ երեխային ավելի շատ կալորիա է անհրաժեշտ, նա կարող է առողջությունը եւ նորմալ քաշը պահպանել միայն առողջ մթերքներ ուտելու դեպքում, այլ ոչ թե սնուցող ոչ մի արժեքավոր բան չպարունակող քաղցրեղեն:
