Այս միրգը հարուստ է մեծ քանակությամբ վիտամիններով` С, В1, В2, Р, Е, վիտամիններ։ Պակաս օգտակար չէ նաեւ խնձորի կեղեւը, որն արյան մեջից դուրս է հանել ավելորդ խոլեստերինը եւ կանխում սրտային հիվանդությունները։
Խաղող – Խաղողի քաղցր պտուղները հզոր հակաօքսիդանտներ են. Այս միրգը նաև համարվում է սիրտ-անոթային հիվանդությունների եւ մաշկի ծերացման դեմ լավ միջոց։

Այն հարուստ է կալիումով, ունակ է կրճատոել ուղեղային կաթվածի ռիսկը. Բուժում է ստամոքսի հետ կապված հիվնդությունները և նպաստում ճնշման նվազմանը։
