 ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հունիսի 7-ին ընդունել է Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի տարածաշրջանային գրասենյակի ղեկավար Թոմաս Շրափելին եւ Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներում գործող Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի գրասենյակները համակարգող Թիմ Բ. Փիթերսին: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովի աշխատակազմից:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը բարձր է գնահատել օրեր առաջ Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող եւ դատապարտող բանաձեւի ընդունումը եւ նշել, որ բանաձեւի ընդունմամբ Գերմանիան մեկ անգամ եւս վերահաստատել է ժողովրդավարության սկզբունքներին իր հավատարմությունը:

ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կարեւորել է Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի բազմամյա գործունեությունը Հայաստանում: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը, դրական գնահատելով հիմնադրամի համագործակցությունը ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի հետ, նպատակահարմար է համարել առավել սերտացնել ԱԺ աշխատակազմի հետ Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի համագործակցությունը: Նա պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել գործուն աջակցություն ցուցաբերել տարբեր ծրագրերի իրականացման գործում:

Անդրադառնալով տարածաշրջանային խնդիրներին՝ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը ներկայացրել է ապրիլի սկզբին Ադրբեջանի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի նկատմամբ իրականացրած պատերազմական գործողությունները, որի ընթացքում վայրագություններ եւ խոշտանգումներ են իրականացվել ոչ միայն հայ զինվորականների, այլեւ խաղաղ բնակիչների նկատմամբ: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հյուրերին է փոխանցել այդ վայրագություններն ապացուցող փաստաթղթեր: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը մեկ անգամ եւս նշել է, որ թե Հայաստանը, թե Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը ձգտում են խաղաղության եւ հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման` հավատարիմ մ նալով միջազգայնորեն ընդունված երեք հայտնի սկզբունքներին՝ ի տարբերություն Ադրբեջանի, որը շարունակում է իր ռազմատենչ եւ անհեթեթ հայտարարությունները:

Կարեւորելով Գերմանիայի հետ հեռանկարային եւ ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունեցող համագործակցությունը` ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նաեւ էական է համարել այն հանգամանքը, որ այս տարի ԵԱՀԿ-ում նախագահում է Գերմանիան:

Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի տարածաշրջանային գրասենյակի ղեկավար Թոմաս Շրափելը, շնորհակալություն հայտելով ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովին հանդիպման համար, ներկայացրել է այն ծրագրերը, որոնք հիմնադրամը նպատակադրվել է իրականացնել առաջիկայում: Նա մանրամասնել է, որ Հայաստանում նախատեսված է իրականացնել այնպիսի ծրագրեր, որոնք շարունակական են լինելու եւ հիմնականում  վերաբերում են երիտասարդությանը: Նա, ինչպես նաեւ Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներում գործող Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի գրասենյակները համակարգող Թիմ Բ. Փիթերսը կարեւորել են ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի հետ համագործակցության խորացումը, ինչպես նաեւ ԱԺ աշխատակիցների վերապատրաստման ծրագրերի իրականացումը:
