«Ղարաբաղում անընդհատ կարելի է լսել նույն խոսակցությունը գրեթե նույն ձևակերպումներով. «Այսպես այլևս չի կարող շարունակվել, իրավիճակը թող հանդարտվի, տեսնենք, թե ինչ է փոխվելու»։ Ղարաբաղի շարքային բնակիչները համոզված են, որ ապրիլյան պատերազմից առաջ եղած իրավիճակը պետք է արմատապես փոխվի, որովհետև այն կյանքով, որով իրենք ապրել են մինչև ապրիլ՝ այլևս չեն ուզում ապրել։
Մեր զրուցակիցներն ասում են, որ երբ երկիրը փրկելու, պատերազմի գնալու, կյանքը վտանգի տակ դնելու խնդիր կա, իշխանությունները միանգամից հիշում են իրենց, միանգամից սկսում են խոսել միասնության մասին, ասում են, որ սա մեր բոլորի ընդհանուր հայրենիքն է, որ երկիրը բոլորինս է և բոլորս պետք է մեկ մարդու նման պաշտպանենք երկիրը, բայց երբ գալիս է խաղաղության շրջանը, երբ արդեն թշնամու վտանգը հեռանում է, պարզվում է, որ երկիրը ընդամենը մի քանի մարդու սեփականությունն է, երկրի ընդերքը մի քանիսինն է, և այնտեղից արդյունահանվող ոսկին ու պղինձը միայն նրանցն է, Ղարաբաղի տարածքով հոսող գետերը մի քանիսինն են, որ դրանց վրա հիդրոէլեկտրակայններ կառուցեն և հոսանք արտադրեն, հողերը էլի նույն մարդկանցն են, որ ցորեն ցանեն ու իրենց վրա վաճառեն, պարզվում է, որ եթե դու մի քիչ հող ունես ու ուզում ես մշակել, չես կարող անել, քանի որ ոռոգման ջուրը ևս մի քանիսի արտերի համար է, իսկ թե գյուղացու հողը կչորանա կամ ընտանիքը սոված կմնա՝ որևէ մեկին չի հետաքրքրում։
