Մարկ Քիրքը կոչ է անում չընդունել Ադրբեջանի աղաղակող երկերեսանիությունը. սենատորի հոդվածը The Hill-ում

Ժամանակն է, որ Ադրբեջանը Միացյալ Նահանգների և միջազգային հանրության կողմից բախվի ԼՂՀ դեմ իրականացրած իր ռազմական ագրեսիայի հետևանքներին: Այս մասին The Hill-ում հոդված է գրել ԱՄՆ Իլինոյիս նահանգից ընտրված սենատոր Մարկ Քիրքը:
Նա ներկայացրել է, թե ինչպես երկարատև սպառազինվելուց հետո ապրիլի սկզբին Ադրբեջանը լայնածավալ հարձակում իրականացրեց ԼՂՀ-ի նկատմամբ, որը պատճառ դարձավ 1994 թվականի կնքած հրադադարի ամենամասշտաբային խախտման: «Հրադադարի ռեժիմը ստուգող մեխանիզմների բացակայության պարագայում Ադրբեջանն ավելի ու ավելի ռազմատենչ է դառնում` իր գործողությունների համար չբախվելով որևէ հետևանքի: Սա պետք է փոխվի»,- նշել է Քիրքը:
Նա իր աջակցությունն է հայտնել ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսականներ Էդ Ռոյսին և Էլիոթ Էնգելին, ովքեր առաջարկում են կիրառության մեջ դնել հրադադարի ռեժիմի խախտումները մշտադիտարկման ենթարկող մեխանիզմներ, որոնք կպարզեն, թե որ կողմից են գալիս կրակոցները, ինչպես նաև շփման գծից հեռացնել դիպուկահարներին: ԱՄՆ օրենսդիր գործիչը փաստել է, որ ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի ավելի քան 80 անդամներ, ինչպես նաև ԱՄՆ պետդեպն ու Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներն աջակցել են այս նախագծին: Հայաստանն ու ԼՂՀ-ն ևս համաձայնել են կիրառել այս առաջարկները, մինչդեռ Ադրբեջանը շարունակում է դրանք մերժել:
«ԱՄՆ ղեկավարությունը պետք է դադարեցնի արյունահեղությունը, որտեղ Ադրբեջանը հարձակվում է ԼՂՀ-ի վրա, ԼՂՀ-ն պատասխանում է, իսկ այնուհետև Ադրբեջանը մեղադրում է հայերին հրադադարի ռեժիմի խախտման մեջ: Մենք այլևս չպետք է ընդունենք Բաքվի աղաղակող երկերեսանիությունը: Կոչ եմ անում ԱՄՆ վարչակարգին Ռոյս-Էնգելի առաջարկները բարձրացնել Ադրբեջանի բարձրագույն ղեկավարության շրջանում»,- ասել է Քիրքը:
Նա հիշեցրել է, որ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը միջազգային հանրության քննադատությանն է ենթարկվել մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների հարցով:
«Ադրբեջանը պետք է ցույց տա ԱՄՆ-ին և միջազգային հանրությանը, որ իսկապես ցանկանում է խաղաղության գործընկեր լինել Հայաստանի և ԼՂՀ-ի հետ: Բաքուն պետք է ամբողջությամբ ընդունի Ռոյս-Էնգել առաջարկները:
Ալիևի ընտրությունն ակնհայտ է. նա կամ պետք է լծվի հայերի հետ դիվանագիտական բանակցություններին` խաղաղ պայմանների ներքո, կամ պետք է շարունակի ռազմական և անօգուտ քաղաքականությունը: Եթե նա ընտրի երկրորդը, ապա պետք է իմանա, որ ադրբեջանական ագրեսիայի ցանկացած գործողություն միայն ավելի կհաստատի ԼՂՀ փաստարկը, որ այն պետք է գնա Կոսովոյի ճանապարհով: Որպես Կոսովոյի պատերազմի վետերան, ես իսկապես հույս ունեմ, որ Ադրբեջանը գիտակցում է` ԼՂ հակամարտությունը պետք է կարգավորվի բացառապես խաղաղ ճանապարհով»,- եզրափակել է հոդվածը Քիրքը:
