Ամերիկյան հեղինակավոր Wall Street Journal պարբերականի տպագիր տարբերակում մի ամբողջական էջ հակահայկական բովանդակությամբ գովազդի տեղադրումը լուրջ դժգոհություն է առաջացրել: Խնդրին անդրադարձել են ինչպես ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցներ, այնպես էլ սոցցանցերի օգտատերեր:
Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ԱՄՆ Կալիֆորնիա նահանգի Մոնթեբելլո քաղաքի հայազգի քաղաքապետ Ջեք Հաջինյանը ֆեսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.«Արդյոք պատահականություն է այն, որ ամերիկյան Wall Street Journal պարբերականն իր թերթում Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ժխտող գովազդ է տեղադրել հենց Հիտլերի ծննդյան օրը»:
Սոցցանցերի շատ ուրիշ օգտատերեր գրել են. «Շատ ցավալի է», «Անհավատալի է, որ նրանք դեռ փորձում են ժխտել», «Արդյոք Wall Street Journal-ը Հոլոքոստը ժխտող «սադրիչ» գովազդ կտեղադրեր», «Դադարեցրեք գնել WSJ-ն», «Երբեմն կյանքը վատագույն ֆիլմ է թվում: Սա պարզապես անմարդկային է»:
Ամերիկյան հեղինակավոր The Huffington Post պարբերականն անդրադարձել է Wall Street Journal-ում հրապարակված գովազդի շուրջ բարձրացած աղմուկին: Լրատվամիջոցը գրել է, որ գովազդի պատվիրատուն Fact Check Armenia խումբն է, որի գործունեության նպատակը «թուրքական ազգային ինքնության ու մշակույթի պահպանությունն ու պաշտպանությունն է»: Այն ժխտում է Օսմանյան կայսրության կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության իրականացումը և այս թեմայով նմանօրինակ գովազդ վերջերս տեղադրել էր փողոցային գովազդային վահանակներից մեկի վրա: Հետագայում այդ գովազդը հեռացվել էր:
Գովազդի վերաբերյալ The Huffington Post-ի հարցադրմանը Wall Street Journal-ից հետևյալ պատասխանն էին տվել. «Մենք ընդունում ենք գովազդների լայն շրջանակ` այդ թվում և այնպիսինները, որոնք ունեն սադրիչ տեսակետներ»: Պարբերականից հայտնել էին, որ իրենց մոտ տեղ գտած գովազդի բովանդակությունն ամբողջությամբ պատկանում է գովազդատուներին, և իրենք դրա հետ որևէ կապ չունեն:
