Պարզից էլ պարզ է, որ Լավրովի Հայաստան այցելությունն ուղղակի կապ ունի արցախյան հիմնախնդրի հետ: Թերևս վերջին 20 տարվա ընթացքում Արցախի համար ավելի վտանգավոր օրեր չեն եղել, քան հիմա: Անգամ ադրբեջանական հրոսակների հարձակման օրերին Արցախի գլխին այդքան սև ամպեր չէին կուտակվել, քան, ըստ երևույթին, կուտակվում են այս օրերին: Ու հիմա ավելի քան կարևոր է միասնական, առանց ավելորդ հուզմունքի և էմոցիաների Հայաստանից վռնդել ցանկացածի, ով կփորձի մեզ հողային զիջում պարտադրել՝ լինի այդ էմիսարը Մոսկվայից, թե Վաշինգտոնից կամ Բրյուսելից: Հիմա այլևս անիմաստ «մետ»-երի և «իզմ»-երի ժամանակը չէ: Եթե պարտարդող կողմը պետք է լինի Մոսկվան, ապա այսօր հույս ունեմ, որ Լավրովին հստակ կհասկացնեն, թե ինչ վտանգներով է հղի ցանկացած հակահայ որոշման հետևանքով Հայաստանի կողմից Արցախի ճանաչումը հենց Ռուսաստանի համար:
Այո՛, մենք պատրաստ պետք է լինենք ճանաչել Արցախի անկախությունը, այո՛, դրանից հետո նույն օրը Արցախում պետք է անցնի հանրաքվե, և վերջապես Արցախը պետք է միանա Հայաստանին: Այդ պարագայում Մոսկվան, ուզի կամ չուզի, պետք է հաշվի առնի, որ Արցախի դեմ ցանկացած ռազմական ագրեսիա ագրեսիա է Հայաստանի, իսկ ՀԱՊԿ պարտավորությամբ՝ Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ: Այն նույն տրամաբանությամբ, եթե հիմա ռազմական ագրեսիա լինի Ղրիմի նկատմամբ, ապա Երևանն էլ ունի իր պարտականությունները: 
Մի խոսքով, ծանր օրեր են սպասվում, որին դիմագրավել է պետք վճռական, առանց մի վայրկյան կասկածելու, որ մենք զիջելու ոչինչ չունենք...
