ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարությունը շնորհավորել է Փիթեր Բալաքյանին

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության մշակույթի նախարարությունը շնորհավորել է ամերիկահայ հայտնի գրող Փիթեր Բալաքյանին Պուլիցերյան մրցանակի արժանանալու առթիվ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից:

Շնորհավորական ուղերձում ասվում է. «Երբ 1911 թվականին մահացավ հունգարական ծագումով ամերիկացի միլիոնատեր Ժոզեֆ Պուլիցերը, նա կմտածե՞ր արդյոք, որ 1917 թվականին իր թողած ժառանգությունից ձևավորված մրցանակին ճիշտ 100 տարի անց կարժանանա հայազգի հանճարեղ բանաստեղծ, արձակագիր և բազմաթիվ այլ ժանրերում ստեղծագործող Փիթեր Բալաքյանը:

ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարությունը շնորհավորում է հայ նորագույն  գրականության պատմության շրջադարձի հերոս Փիթեր Բալաքյանին` «Օզոնային օրագիր» ժողովածուի համար` Պուլիցերյան մրցանակի արժանանալու առթիվ:

&laqu o;Ականավոր մի բանաստեղծի գրչից` արձակ մի գլուխգործոց»՝ այսպես բնորոշեց «Փըբլիշըրզ Ուիքլի» շաբաթաթերթը «Ճակատագրի սև շունը» վեպ-հուշագրության ծնունդը:

Բալաքյանի գործերի մասին շատ է խոսվել: Նա ամերիկյան գրականության գորդյան հանգույցներ բերեց և չափածոյի ու արձակի թեմա դարձրեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարեգրությունը, որում, ցավոք, իր կորուստներն ուներ նաև գրողի ընտանիքը:
«Սա իմ տասնչորսերորդ վեպն է… Նմանապես պարտական եմ բանաստեղծ, հուշագիր և պատմաբան Փիթեր Բալաքյանին, ում գործերը կատարելապես ոգեշնչող և ուսուցանո ղ էին։ Անգնահատելի էին բազմաթիվ գրքեր, հուշապատումներ և հոդվածներ», - իր «Ավազե ամրոցի աղջիկները» վեպի լույսընծայման առիթով նշել է ամերիկահայ հայտնի գրող Քրիս Բոհջալյանը:

Մարկ Մուստյանը ևս փաստում է, որ «Ժանդարմը» վեպը գրել է Բալաքյանի ստեղծագործությունները կարդալուց հետո, որովհետև մինչ այդ ծանոթ չի եղել անգամ ցեղասպանության խնդրին, Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմին և դրանում հայ ժողովրդի մասնակցությանն ու կրած կորուստներին:

Կախարդիչ գեղեցկություն և բարձր բարոյականություն ունեն Փիթեր Բալաքյանի գործերը: «Օզոնային օրագիրը» ներառում է 54 պոեմ, որոնցում հեղինակը երևակայության ուժով և փաստերի զուգորդմամբ մերթ սիրիական անապատում է, ուր գաղթել են հայերը Մեծ եղեռնի տարիներին և որտեղ տեղի են ունենում Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհ դարձած նախնիների մասունքների պեղումները, մերթ տեղափոխվում է 1990-ականների Մանհեթեն, հետո՝ Նյու Մեխիկոյի Նայրոբի գյուղ: 

Ալֆրեդ Կեյզին Բալաքյանի մասին խոսելիս նրան համարել է մի բանաստեղծ, ով գիտի իսկ և իսկ անցյալի ցավը տեղադրել ներկա «պեյզաժում»՝ անձնական այն աստիճանով, որը սիրել է տալիս նրա գործերը: 

Շնորհավորում ենք Փիթեր Բալաքյանին նորից և նորից՝ հավաստելով, որ մենք սիրում ենք իր գրականությունը, և ինչպես Պուլիցերյան մրցանակն աշխարհին ասաց՝ գրականությունն էլ սիրում է իրեն»:
