Սերժ Սարգսյանը և Իանակիս Օմիրուն վստահեցրել են. արտաքին քաղաքական հարցերի լուծման ճանապարհին ՀՀ-ն և Կիպրոսը կողք կողքի են

ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը Կիպրոս կատարած պաշտոնական այցի շրջանակներում մարտի 16-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահ Իանակիս Օմիրուի հետ:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Իանակիս Օմիրուին`Հայաստանի պաշտոնական պատվիրակությանը ցուցաբերած ջերմ ընդունելության համար և նշել, որ ուրախ է հյուրընկալվել եղբայրական Կիպրոսում, որի հետ Հայաստանի ներկայիս հարաբերություններն իրենց որակով ոչնչով չեն զիջում երկու երկրների անցյալի բարեկամական կապերին: Հանրապետության Նախագահը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ ապագայում հայ-կիպրական հարաբերությունները կառուցողները ևս մեծ նվիրվածությամբ են վերաբերելու իրենց գործին` մշտապես հիշելով առկա բարեկամական հարաբերությունների բարձր մաÕ �արդակը պահպանելու և ամրապնդելու պատասխանատվության մասին:
Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ՀՀ Նախագահը և Կիպրոսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահը երկուստեք ջերմությամբ են հիշել իրենց նախորդ հանդիպումները: Նրանք համակարծիք են եղել, որ հայ և կիպրացի ժողովուրդների միջև պատմականորեն հաստատված ջերմ կապերը նոր արժեք ստացան Հայաստանի անկախության վերականգնումից հետո, և միջպետական հարաբերությունները զարգացան փոխըմբռնման ու բարեկամության ոգով: Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը այդ ամենում բարձր գնահատանքի արժանի է համարել Իանակիս Օմիրուի անձնական մեծ ավանդը և հիշել նրա նախաձեռնությամբ Կիպրոսում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը քրեականացնելու մասին օրենքի ընդունումը, ինչպես նաև Կիպրոսի Նախագահի հետ միասին նրա մասնակցությունը Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի երևանյան միջոցառումներին։
ՀՀ Նախագահը և Կիպրոսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահը կարևորել են խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովների շրջանակներում երկու բարեկամ երկրների սերտ փոխգործակցությունը: Սերժ Սարգսյանը և Իանակիս Օմիրուն մտքեր են փոխանակել Հայաստանի և Կիպրոսի արտաքին քաղաքական օրակարգի կարևորագույն հարցերի շուրջ և փոխադարձաբար վստահեցրել, որ Հայաստանը և Կիպրոսը ամուր կանգնած են կողք կողքի` այդ հարցերի լուծման ճանապարհին:
Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն մարտի 16-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել նաև Համայն Կիպրոսի Արքեպիսկոպոսի հետ:
