«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Փրփրուն գինիների «շուկայում» միշտ էլ անվան հետ կապված տարակարծություններ են եղել, բայց, միևնույնն է, գրեթե բոլոր դեպքերում դրանք կոչվում են «շամպայն»: Այդուամենայնիվ, դրանց մեջ կան որոշները, որոնք առանձնահատուկ պատմություն և հռչակ ունեն:

Օրինակ՝ այժմ «Ռյունիար» անունով հայտնի շամպայնի գաղափարը պատկանում է բենեդիկտյան քահանա Դոմ Թիերի Ռյունիարին, որը շատ էր ճանապարհորդում ամբողջ Եվրոպայով մեկ և ի վերջո հասկացավ, որ ալկոհոլի արտադրությունը կարող է շատ ավելի շահավետ բիզնես լինել, քան գործվածքի առևտուրը, որն այն ժամանակ իր ընտանիքի երկար տարիների բիզնեսն էր։ Նա համոզված էր, որ ապագան փրփրուն գինունն է, քանի որ դա արիստոկրատիայի նախընտրելի ըմպելիքն է, արիստոկրատիայի, որը կարող էր իրեն թույլ տալ գումար ծախսել թանկարժեք ապրանքների, այդ թվում՝ բարձրորակ ալկոհոլի վրա։

Բարեբախտաբար, Ֆրանսիայի թագավոր Լյուդովիկոս XV-ը 1728 թվականի մայիսին հրամանագիր արձակեց, որով թույլատրվում էր շշալցված գինու տեղափոխումը, և բառացիորեն հաջորդ տարի Նիկոլա Ռյունիարը հիմնադրեց Ռյունիար գինեգործարանը։ Հետաքրքիր է այն, որ չնայած առաջին շամպայնը արդեն պատրաստ էր դեռ 1730 թվականին, այն անմիջապես չուղարկվեց շուկա։ Փորձառու վաճառական Նիկոլան սկսեց որպես նվեր ներառել խմիչքի մի քանի շիշ՝ վաճառված կտորի հետ միասին։ Ի վերջո, այն հետևորդներ ձեռք բերեց, նախկին կտորագործի գինեգործարանը սկսեց ստանալ իր առաջին պատվերները, և 1735 թվականին Ռյունիար տունը հրաժարվեց կտորեղենի վաճառքից և սկսեց մասնագիտանալ շամպայնի արտադրության մեջ։

Ռյունիար գինեգործարանը Նիկոլայից անցավ նրա որդուն՝ Կլոդ Ռյունիարին, որն սկզբից արտադրությունը և նկուղները տեղափոխեց Էպերնեյից Ռեյմս, որտեղ դրանք մնում են մինչ օրս։ Հետաքրքիր է, որ նկուղները կառուցվել էին նախկին հանքերում, որտեղ հին հռոմեացիները կրաքար էին արդյունահանում։ Ժամանակի ընթացքում այնտեղ ձևավորվել էին բազմաթիվ կիլոմետրեր ձգվող քարանձավներ։ Ներկայիս գինեգործարանն ունի 8 կիլոմետր երկարությամբ և 38 մետր խորության վրա գտնվող նկուղներ։ Նկուղները պահպանում են Ցելսիուսի 11 աստիճան ջերմաստիճան ամբողջ տարվա ընթացքում՝ ստեղծելով շամպայնի հասունացման համար իդեալական պայմաններ։ Այդ նկուղները 1931 թվականին հայտարարվել են պատմական հուշարձան և պաշտպանված են օրենքով։ Այսօր Ռյունիար տունը արտադրում է նուրբ շամպայն, որը մրցակցում է Veuve Clicquot-ի և տարածաշրջանի այլ հայտնի ապրանքանիշերի հետ։
