Թաիլանդը կիրակի օրը պարետային ժամ է հայտարարել իր հարավ-արևելյան Տրատ նահանգում, քանի որ Կամբոջայի հետ մարտական գործողությունները տարածվել են վիճելի սահմանային շրջանի ծովափնյա տարածքներում՝ երկու օր անց այն բանից հետո, երբ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել էր, որ կողմերը համաձայնվել են դրանք դադարեցնել, հայտնում է Reuters-ը։

Հարավարևելյան Ասիայի երկու հարևան երկրներն այս տարի մի քանի անգամ դիմել են զենքի կիրառմանը՝ այն բանից հետո, երբ մայիսյան փոխհրաձգության ընփացքում սպանվել էր կամբոջացի զինվոր, ինչը կրկին հանգեցրել էր հակամարտության, որի հետևանքով հարյուր հազարավոր մարդիկ էին տեղահանվել երկու կողմում։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, բախումները շարունակվում են այն պահից, երբ Կամբոջան շաբաթ օրը կրկին հաստատեց հրադադարի իր պատրաստակամությունը, հայտարարել է Թաիլանդի Պաշտպանության նախարարության ներկայացուցիչ, դերծովակալ Սուրասանտ Կոնգսիրին՝ պարետային ժամի հայտարարությունից հետո Բանգկոկում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում։

Թաիլանդը բաց է դիվանագիտական լուծման համար, սակայն «Կամբոջան պետք է նախ դադարեցնի թշնամանքը, նախքան մենք կարողանանք բանակցել», — ասել է նա։

Թաիլանդի զինված ուժերը շաբաթ օրը հայտարարել են, որ ոչնչացրել են կամուրջը, որը Կամբոջան օգտագործում էր ծանր զինատեսակներ և այլ տեխնիկա տարածաշրջան հասցնելու համար, և սկսել են գործողություն՝ ոչնչացնելու նախապես տեղակայված հրետանին Կամբոջայի ծովափնյա Կոխկոնգ նահանգում։

Կամբոջան, իր հերթին, մեղադրել է Թաիլանդին քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքների վրա հարվածներ հասցնելու մեջ։

Պարետային ժամը Թաիլանդում գործում է Տրատ նահանգի հինգ շրջաններում, որոնք սահմանակից են Կո Կոնգին, բացառությամբ զբոսաշրջային Կո Չանգ և Կո Կուդ կղզիների։ Ավելի վաղ զինվորականները պարետային ժամ էին սահմանել նաև արևելյան Սակեո նահանգում, որը շարունակում է մնալ ուժի մեջ։

Երկուշաբթիից Թաիլանդը և Կամբոջան փոխադարձաբար կրակ են բացել ծանր զինատեսակներից իրենց 817 կիլոմետր երկարությամբ սահմանագծի մի քանի հատվածներում, ինչը դարձել է ամենաարյունալի մարտերից մեկը հուլիսյան հնգօրյա բախումներից ի վեր, որոնք ավարտվել էին Թրամփի և Մալայզիայի միջնորդությամբ։
