Չեփել Հիլլի Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի համալսարանի աստղագետների միջազգային թիմը հայտարարել է դիտարկումների ողջ պատմության ընթացքում ամենաերկարատև գամմա-բռնկման հայտնաբերման մասին. GRB 250702B-ն տևել է գրեթե յոթ ժամ։ Սովորաբար նման պայթյունները տևում են մի քանի վայրկյանից մինչև րոպե, ուստի նոր օբյեկտը գիտնականներին շփոթության մեջ է գցել և ստիպել վերանայել ամենահզոր տիեզերական աղետների մոդելները։ Աշխատանքը հրապարակվել է The Astrophysical Journal Letters ամսագրում։
Յոթ ժամ լույս՝ մահացող գալակտիկայից
Գամմա-բռնկումները էներգիայի կարճատև արտանետումներ են, որոնք հավասար են միլիարդավոր գերնորերի պայթյունին։ Դրանց աղբյուրներն են. գերզանգվածային աստղերի կոլապսը կամ նեյտրոնային աստղերի/սև խոռոչների միաձուլումը։ -ն սկսվել է 2025 թվականի հուլիսի 2-ին և սովորական վայրկյանների կամ րոպեների փոխարեն ճառագայթել է գրեթե յոթ ժամ։
Տիեզերական աստղադիտարանների (Swift, Fermi) կողմից հայտնաբերումից հետո թիմը դիտարկումներ է անցկացրել խոշորագույն ցամաքային աստղադիտակներով և հայտնաբերել մարող լույսը հեռավոր, խիստ փոշոտ գալակտիկայում։ Հենց այնտեղ էլ տեղի է ունեցել պայթյունը։
Հետազոտության առաջատար հեղինակ Ջոնաթան Քարնիի խոսքերով, բռնկումը «չի տեղավորվում գոյություն ունեցող մոդելներից որևէ մեկում»։ Ենթադրությունների թվում են.
- Արտասովոր զանգվածային աստղի կոլապս;
- Էկզոտիկ կոմպակտ օբյեկտների միաձուլում;
- Աստղի ոչնչացում միջանկյալ զանգվածի սև խոռոչի կողմից։
Առայժմ տվյալները բավարար չեն մեկ տարբերակ ընտրելու համար։

Նման գերերկար բռնկումները հազվագյուտ հնարավորություն են՝ նայելու ծայրահեղ պայմանների մեջ, որտեղ խտությունը համեմատելի է ատոմի միջուկի հետ, իսկ գրավիտացիան խեղաթյուրում է տարածություն-ժամանակը։ Բացի այդ, գամմա-բռնկումները ծանր տարրեր են տարածում գալակտիկաներում. առանց դրանց չէին լինի մոլորակներն ու, ի վերջո, մենք ինքներս։
-ն արդեն հայտարարվել է նոր չափանիշ. բոլոր ապագա գերերկար բռնկումները կհամեմատվեն հենց դրա հետ, որպեսզի հասկանան, թե արդյոք այն եզակի է, թե բացում է տիեզերական աղետների մի ամբողջ նոր դաս։

2025 թվականի հուլիսի 2-ին գրանցվել է գամմա-բռնկումը, որը տևել է գրեթե յոթ ժամ՝ տասնյակ անգամ ավելի երկար, քան սովորականները։ Այն չի տեղավորվում գոյություն ունեցող մոդելներում և կարող է մատնանշել տիեզերական պայթյունների նոր տեսակ։ Սա հազվագյուտ հնարավորություն է՝ ուսումնասիրելու ծայրահեղ ֆիզիկան և Ծանր տարրերի տարածումը Տիեզերքում։
