Բոստոնի բժշկական համալսարանի գիտնականները եկել են այն եզրակացության, որ երիտասարդ տարիքում սրտի վիճակը վճռորոշ դեր է խաղում հասուն տարիքում առողջության համար։
Հետազոտության արդյունքները հրապարակվել են The American Journal of Cardiology ամսագրում։
Հետազոտությունը ցույց է տվել, որ եթե դեռահասության և վաղ հասունության տարիներին սիրտը աշխատում է ոչ իդեալականորեն, ապա ապագայում բազմապատիկ անգամ մեծանում է սրտանոթային հիվանդությունների (ինչպիսիք են ինֆարկտը կամ ինսուլտը) ռիսկը։
Հեղինակները նշում են, որ վերջին տասնամյակների ընթացքում սրտի հիվանդություններից մահացությունը իսկապես նվազել է, սակայն այժմ այդ առաջընթացը դանդաղում է։ Հատկապես մտահոգիչ է, որ ավելի ու ավելի շատ երիտասարդներ ունեն սրտի առողջության թույլ ցուցանիշներ։ Հետազոտությանը մասնակցել են կամավորներ, որոնց դիտարկել են տասնյակ տարիների ընթացքում՝ սկսած մոտավորապես տասնութ տարեկանից։ Հաշվի են առնվել ութ հիմնական գործոններ՝ սնունդը, ֆիզիկական ակտիվությունը, ծխախոտից հրաժարվելը, քունը, մարմնի քաշը, խոլեստերինի մակարդակը, ճնշումը և արյան մեջ շաքարի մակարդակը։
Արդյունքները բազմացուցիչ են եղել։ Նրանք, ովքեր ի սկզբանե վարել են առողջ ապրելակերպ և պահպանել լավ ցուցանիշներ, ունեցել են սրտի հիվանդությունների զգալիորեն ավելի ցածր ռիսկ։ Նրանց մոտ, ում վիճակը եղել է միջին և չի բարելավվել, ռիսկը մեծացել է երկու-երեք անգամ։ Իսկ այն մարդկանց մոտ, որոնց սրտի առողջությունը տարիների ընթացքում վատացել է, սրտի հետ կապված խնդիրների հավանականությունը գրեթե տասն անգամ ավելի բարձր է եղել։
Գիտնականները շեշտում են, որ հենց անցումային շրջանը՝ պատանեկությունից դեպի հասուն կյանք, դառնում է վճռորոշ։ Այս ընթացքում հատկապես կարևոր է ամրապնդել սիրտը պահպանող սովորությունները. սնվել հավասարակշռված, լիարժեք քնել, ավելի շատ շարժվել և խուսափել վնասակար կախվածություններից։ Որքան շուտ մարդ սկսի հոգ տանել իր սրտի մասին և որքան երկար պահպանի լավ սովորությունները, այնքան ավելի մեծ են նրա երկար ու առողջ կյանք ունենալու շանսերը։
