Քաղցկեղը մնում է 21-րդ դարի ամենածանր և տարածված հիվանդություններից մեկը։ Սակայն մասնագետները մեկ բան շեշտում են անընդհատ՝ այս հիվանդությունը միշտ չէ, որ դատավճիռ է։ Բժշկական առաջընթացը և առողջ կենսակերպը հնարավորություն են տալիս զգալիորեն նվազեցնել քաղցկեղի առաջացման վտանգը, իսկ որոշ դեպքերում՝ ամբողջությամբ կանխել այն։

Սննդակարգը քաղցկեղի դեմ պայքարի ամենաարդյունավետ գործիքներից է։ Բժիշկները խորհուրդ են տալիս նվազեցնել վերամշակված մսամթերքի, շաքարի և ճարպային սննդի քանակը՝ փոխարինելով դրանք բանջարեղենով, մրգերով և ամբողջական հացահատիկով։

Համաշխարհային առողջապահական կազմակերպության (ՀԱԿ) տվյալներով՝ քաղցկեղի բոլոր դեպքերի շուրջ 30%-ը կապված է ծխախոտի օգտագործման հետ։ Ծխելը մեծացնում է ոչ միայն թոքերի, այլև բերանի խոռոչի, կոկորդի և միզապարկի քաղցկեղի վտանգը։
Ալկոհոլը նույնպես կարևոր ռիսկային գործոն է․ չափից շատ սպառումը վնասում է լյարդը և մեծացնում է կրծքագեղձի ու լյարդի քաղցկեղի հավանականությունը։
Շարժումը օրգանիզմի բնական զենքն է
Ֆիզիկական ակտիվությունը նվազեցնում է ավելորդ քաշը, որը, իր հերթին, կապված է մի շարք քաղցկեղների զարգացման հետ։ Բժիշկները խորհուրդ են տալիս օրական առնվազն 30 րոպե քայլել, լողալ կամ կատարել թեթև մարզանք։

Արևից պաշտպանվելը նույնպես կանխարգելում է
Մաշկի քաղցկեղի դեպքերը շարունակ աճում են ամբողջ աշխարհում։ Մասնագետները խորհուրդ են տալիս խուսափել արևի տակ երկար մնալուց, հատկապես կեսօրին, և միշտ օգտագործել արևապաշտպան քսուք SPF 30 և ավելի բարձր գործակցով։
Պարբերական զննումներ՝ կանխարգելման կարևոր պայման
Քաղցկեղի վաղ հայտնաբերումն էականորեն բարձրացնում է բուժման արդյունավետությունը։ Օրինակ՝ մոլեկուլային թեստավորումը կամ մոմոգրաֆիան կարող են հիվանդությունը բացահայտել այն փուլում, երբ դեռ լիովին բուժելի է։
