«Հայոց պատմությանը բնորոշ ծանր, տագնապալի օրեր ենք ապրում՝ որպես Երկիր, Ազգ և Եկեղեցի: Եվ, բնական է, որ ամեն ոք, ամեն համախմբում, ամեն ուժ իր տեսլականով է փորձում հաղթահարել կամ համակերպվել իրավիճակին: Եվ միայն Հայոց Եկեղեցին է, որ իր շուրջ երկհազարամյա կենսափորձով և իմաստությամբ՝ խաղաղ ու վճռական շարունակում է պահպանել ու պաշտպանել ազգային սուրբ ավանդը, ազգային հոգևոր ինքնությունը, հայրենական ողջ ժառանգությունը՝ անցյալի և ներկայի՝ սփռված բովանդակ Հայկական լեռնաշխարհում և գաղթօջախներում, այդպես նեցուկ լինելով Հայոց պետականությանն ու պետությանը»: Այս մասին գրում է Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի արխիվի և թանգարանների տնօրեն Ասողիկ աբեղա Կարապետյանը։

«Եվ այս սուրբ գործում բացառիկ ու անփոխարինելի է Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ. Ամենայն Հայոց Վեհափառ Հայրապետի առաքելությունը, Հայոց Հայրապետի առաքինազարդ Անձը:

Այս սոսկալի անլսելի աղմուկի և անլույս տվնջյան մեջ՝ հոգուս պարտքն եմ համարում ասել, վկայել ձեզ ամենքիդ՝ պարզ հայորդուց մինչև Հայրենի պետության ամենավերին պաշտոնյա, որ աստվածային նախախնամությամբ Հայոց Եկեղեցու առաքելական Աթոռին է նստած՝ կրելով Հայոց հավատքի ծանրագույն խաչը, մի Հայրապետ, Ով անձնուրաց կերպով, հարաժամ, խորհում, խոսում և տքնում է միմիայն վասն Հայրենյաց և վասն Հավատո: Քաջածանոթ լինելով Հայոց Եկեղեցու պատմության բոլոր դեպքերին ու դեմքերին, ամենայն մանրամասնությամբ, ամենայն վստահությամբ արձանագրում եմ, որ Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը մեր Ազգի և Եկեղեցու մեծագործ, հայրենասեր և ազգաշեն Կաթողիկոսներից մեկն է: Ինչպես իր նախորդ Մեծ Հայրապետները, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը նույնպես հայրաբար է կրում իր մոլորյալ զավակների ցավատանջ խոսքերն ու արարքները՝ միշտ շարունակելով հայրական սիրով աղոթել, հորդորել, զգուշացնել ու պատգամել, միշտ կարելին ու անկարելին անել ի շահ Սբ Եկեղեցու, Ազգի և Հայրենիքի:

Մեծ է Հայոց Հայրապետը և բացարձակ ճշմարտություն է նրա արթուն ու խոհեմ խոսքն ու արդար գործը. մերօրյա նրա իրագործումներն են վկայում, մերօրյա Ազգային պատմությունն է փաստում:

Եվ ինչպես մեր Վեհափառ Հայրապետը, նմանապես և մենք՝ նրա հոգեզավակ հոգևոր սպասավորներս, մեր դավանած, մեր քարոզած ճշմարտությանց համար, ի սեր Հայրենյաց և Աստծո, միշտ պատրաստ ենք հանձն առնելու նահատակության լուսավոր պսակը, քանզի մենք ցկատարած աշխարհի պարծենում ենք միայն մեր Տեր Հիսուս Քրիստոսի խաչով, որով աշխարհը խաչված է մեզ համար, մենք էլ՝ աշխարհի համար (հմմտ. Գաղատ. Ե. 13, Զ. 14):

Արդ, լռենք և սիրով ծառայենք միմյանց՝ ի փառս Ամենազոր Աստծո, մեր հարազատ Երկրի, մեր փառապանծ Ազգի և մեր սքանչափառ Սբ Եկեղեցու»,–գրել է նա:
