Ես հավատում էի մի Հայաստանի, որը գոյություն չունի։ Այն իրականում գոյություն չունի, գրում է իր գրքում Կոլյա Ստեփանյանը, ով վերապրել է 44-օրյա պատերազմն Արցախում։

2019 թվականին Կոլյան Ռուսաստանից տեղափոխվեց Հայաստան, մեկ տարի անց՝ պատերազմի սկսվելուց մի քանի ամիս առաջ, նա կամավոր մեկնեց ծառայելու բանակում։ Սեպտեմբերին Կոլյան, ինչպես մյուս զորակոչիկները, մեկնեց ռազմաճակատ, և երկու շաբաթ անց իր զինակից ընկերների հետ հայտնվեց թշնամու շրջապափակման մեջ։ Պատերազմում անցկացրած 70 օրերի ընթացքում նա բախվեց դավաճանության, սովի, գոյատևելու անընդհատ փորձերի և կորցրեց երկու ոտքերը։ Այնուամենայնիվ, այս ամենից անկախ, իր «Որտեղ» գրքում նրան հաջողվել է պահպանել դրականության նոտաները՝ չնայած իր ապրած ամեն ինչին։ Սա մի գիրք է, որը գրել է մի սովորական մարդ, ով ճակատագրի բերումով հայտնվել է ծայրահեղ իրավիճակում։

Ինչ-որ պահի, տեքստը կարդալիս, սկսում ես ժպտալ, երբեմն արցունքներ են գալիս աչքերիդ, բայց ամենակարևորը՝ դա ստիպում է մտածել Հայաստանի ապագայի մասին։

Կոլյան խոստովանում է, որ մի քանի ամսվա զինվորական ծառայության ընթացքում ինքը ոչինչ չի սովորել, բացի մարտի ժամանակ քայլելուց, և նույնիսկ չգիտեր, թե ինչպես ճիշտ կրակել։ Նրա կարծիքով, պատերազմի անհաջող ելքի պատճառներից մեկը մեր բանակի անմխիթար վիճակն է։

Երբ նա եկավ Հայաստան, շատերը նրան անընդհատ ասում էին, որ կամավոր բանակ գնալը խելագարություն է։ Ինչի նկատմամբ գլխավոր հերոսը բացահայտորեն զայրացած է.

«Իսկ Հայաստանը՞։ Մեր թշնամիներից բացի ո՞ւմ է պետք։ Շատերը կասեն՝ «ինչ սարսափելի խոսքեր են։ Իհարկե՛, այո՛։ Իհարկե՛, մենք սիրում ենք Հայաստանը, բայց ուզում ենք ապրել ուրիշ տեղ։ Սիրում ենք, բայց չենք զոհաբերի հարմարավետությունը»։ Ի՞նչ սեր է դա։

Թեև ցավալի է խոստովանել, ես հավատում էի մի Հայաստանի, որը գոյություն չունի։ Այն իրականում գոյություն չունի։ Այն գոյություն ունի իմ և մի քանի երազողների մեջ»,-նշում է հեղինակը։

Չնայած այն ամենին, ինչի միջով ստիպված էր անցնել, Կոլյան չի զղջում իր ընտրության համար՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստան վերադառնալը և բանակում ծառայելը ճիշտ որոշում էր։

Նրա ոգու ուժն ու կյանքի սերը օգնեցին նրան հաշտվել ոտքերի կորստի հետ։ Կոլյան նույնիսկ վստահեցնում է, որ ոտքերի կորուստը իրեն որևէ անհարմարություն չի պատճառում, նրան, նույնիսկ, դուր է գալիս շորտեր հագնել ամռանը։
