ԱՄՆ-ի Միչիգանի համալսարանի հետազոտողները բացահայտել են տրիհիդրոգենային իոնի (H₃⁺) առաջացման նոր ուղի։ Այս մոլեկուլն առանցքային դեր ունի աստղերի ձևավորման և միջաստղային քիմիայի մեջ։ Այն առկա է Յուպիտերի և Սատուրնի մթնոլորտներում, ինչպես նաև մասնակցում է Տիեզերքում բարդ օրգանական միացությունների ձևավորմանը։ Բացահայտումը հրապարակվել է Nature Communications (NatComms) ամսագրում։

H₃⁺-ի առաջացման անհայտ ճանապարհը

Նախկինում հայտնի էր, որ H₃⁺ ձևավորվում է, երբ ջրածնի մոլեկուլը (H₂) բախվում է իր իոնացված ձևին (H₂⁺)։ Սակայն գիտնականները ենթադրել են, որ գոյություն ունեն նաև այլ մեխանիզմներ, որոնք կարող են բացատրել այս իոնի լայն տարածվածությունը Տիեզերքում։

Սուպերհզոր լազերային սպեկտրոսկոպիայի և մաթեմատիկական մոդելավորման միջոցով հետազոտողները դիտարկեցին H₃⁺-ի առաջացումը մեթիլհալոգեններում և կեղծ հալոգեններում, որոնք ունակ են կրկնակի իոնացման (երկու էլեկտրոնների կորստի)։

«Թափառող» ջրածնի մեխանիզմը

Պարզվեց, որ կրկնակի իոնացումից հետո մոլեկուլը անմիջապես չի քայքայվում։ Դրա փոխարեն, չեզոք ջրածնի մոլեկուլը (H₂) «թափառում» է ներսում, մինչև որ գրավում է ևս մեկ պրոտոն և դառնում H₃⁺։

Այս բացահայտումը թույլ է տալիս կանխատեսել, թե որ մոլեկուլները կարող են արտադրել H₃⁺ նմանատիպ մեխանիզմով, ինչը կօգնի գտնել այս մոլեկուլի նոր աղբյուրներ միջաստղային ամպերում և այլ տիեզերական օբյեկտներում։

Ի՞նչ նշանակություն ունի այս հայտնագործությունը

  • Նոր պատկերացումներ տիեզերական քիմիայի մասին – հայտնաբերվել է H₃⁺-ի այլընտրանքային աղբյուր, որը կարող է բացատրել դրա բարձր կոնցենտրացիան Տիեզերքի տարբեր մասերում։
  • Բարդ օրգանական մոլեկուլների որոնում – «թափառող» ջրածնի մեխանիզմը հնարավոր է կապված լինի կենսական կարևոր միացությունների առաջացման հետ։
  • Աստրոքիմիայի զարգացում – այս արդյունքները կօգնեն ավելի ճշգրիտ մոդելավորել քիմիական էվոլյուցիան Տիեզերքում։

Այժմ գիտնականները կարող են ավելի հստակ կանխատեսել H₃⁺-ի ձևավորումը և որոնել այն Տիեզերքի դեռևս չուսումնասիրված շրջաններում՝ մոտենալով այն գործընթացների հասկացմանը, որոնք ձևավորել են մեր Գալակտիկան։
