Սնահավատ չեմ: Նախապաշարումներ չունեմ: Ճակատագրապաշտ էլ չեմ, քանզի քրիստոնեական իմ ակնածուն տեսակը ոչ թե մերժում է այս կամ այն մեկին կամ երևույթը, այլ դրանց նայում է հավատի ճիշտ անկյան տակ ու լույսի ներքո: Մեղքերս շատ են, սխալներս՝ առավել քան բազում...Բայց...ինձ զարկողին, ցավեցնողին, զրպարտողին, մերկապարանոց մեղադրողին չեմ ընկալել իբրև առաջին ու վերջին ախոյանի, ընդհանրապես չար մտասևեռումներ և դիտավորություններ չունեմ, ինչն ամենևին առկախ է չէ սեփական սխալներիս կամ վրիպումներիս, այլ բխում է իմ օրգանական կերպից ու աշխարհահայացքից:
Հիշաչարությունն ու շղթայական արար-գործողությունները, ռազմավարական քայլերը ինձ համար չեն, գաղտնիք չեմ վաճառում, նախկին հարաբերությունները նոր մարդկանց ու նոր միջավայրում չեմ ներկայացնում որպես վրիպում և անբարոյականի պես չեմ վերախմբագրում՝ դուրս թողնելով այնտեղից որևէ մեկի, առավելևս՝ հրաժարվելով իմ կենսագրության այդ հատվածում նրա արժեքավոր ներկայությունից: Անցյալ-ներկա-ապառնի իմ մարդկային երթևեկում, հավասարապես գնահատում եմ բոլորի խորհուրդն ու խրատը, անհաղորդությունն իսկ՝ իրերի և անունների զորավոր ազդեցությունը համադրելու միջոցով...
...Մեն մի ձախողում, թերևս, կա՜... Չեմ կարողանում մոռանալ ոչինչ: Ոչ թե հիշում եմ, այլ չեմ մոռանում: Անուններ կան, որոնք սեպագիր արձանագրության պես սրտադրոշմ, ցավակնիք մնում են: Անուններ կան, որոնց պատճառով այլ...համանուն մարդիկ ընկալվում են անցյալի դառնահեծ մտորումների մակարդակում և մինչև վերջ չեն մարսվում՝ առանձին անձնանունի աստիճան, որքան էլ հոլովես, ազգանվան-հայրանունի մակդիրումներ անես...Միևնույն է, Արմանն Արման է, Պետրոսը՝ Պետրոս, Թագուհին, Եվան, Անուշն ու Արմինեն՝ հենց այդպիսիք....Խնդիրը հարազատության բարոյական ներսահյուսվածքն է, թե չէ կարող ենք ամեն ինչ ժխտել, դատափետել, ուրանա՜լ...
Զգու՜յշ ապրենք, ասել է թե՝ անփույթ չգոյենք, որովհետև կամա-ակամա մենք անուն ենք՝ որքան էլ մեծ լինի անվանարկելու հակաքրիստոնեական մարմաջն ու գայթակղությունը: Անանուն չմնալու անհամեստություն ունենանք: Հիշվելու հավակնությունից անդին չմոռանալու բարոյականություն ունենանք..
