Օլիմպիադան ոչ միայն ինքնին խաղաղության ուղերձ է, այլ նաև իր շուրջ ստեղծել է տեղեկատվական, դիվանագիտական կարևոր միջավայր, որտեղ ցանկացած երկիր ձգտում է ներկայացնել իր առաջնահերթություններից բխող խնդիր:
Ծառուկյանը հենց այս համատեքստում է բարձրացրել պատանդառված մեր հայրենակիցներին ազատ արձակելու հարցը: Իհարկե, ՀԱՕԿ նախագահի ուղերձը կարող էր խիստ արդյունավետ ընթացք ստանալ, եթե այս խնդրում Հայաստանի իշխանությունը հստակ օրակարգ ունենար, բավարար ջանքեր գործադրեր:
