Ադրբեջանի նախագահը երբեք չի մեկնաբանել մադրիդյան սկզբունքները այնպես, ինչպես երեկ ԱԺ-ում մեկնաբանեց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը: Այս մասին Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց քաղաքագետ Բենիամին Մաթևոսյանը՝ անդրադառնալով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի այն հայտարարությանը, թե «Մադրիդյան սկզբունքներ»-ով Հայաստանը ԼՂ–ն ճանաչել է Ադրբեջանի մաս։
«Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի երեկվա հայտարարությունը, մեղմ ասած, ոչ պրոֆեսիոնալ հայտարարություն էր: Ի սկզբանե մենք միշտ էլ ընդգծել ենք, որ Արցախյան կոնֆլիկտը ոչ թե տարածքային վեճ է, այլ ինքնորոշման իրավունքի խնդիր է: Ադրբեջանը հիմա է ասում, որ ԼՂՀ գոյություն չունի, նման վարչատարածքային միավոր չկա»,- ասաց նա:
Քաղաքագետի կարծիքով՝ «Մադրիդյան սկզբունքներ»-ով Հայաստանի իշխանությունները հասել էին նրան, որ Ադրբեջանը Արցախը դիտարկում էր որպես սուբյեկտ, որը պետք է ինքնորոշվեր:
«Ադրբեջանն ընդունել էր, որ այդ սուբյեկտն ունի ինքնրոշվելու իրավունք: Ադրբեջանական կողմն իր վրա պարտավորություն էր վերցրել ընդունել ինքնորոշման իրավունքի իրացումը՝ անկախ նրանից՝ ինչպիսի արդյունքներ կլինեին: Կարևորն այն էր, որ այդ ինքնորոշման իրավունքի իրացման երաշխավորը դառնում էր ոչ միայն Հայաստանը, այլև միջազգային հանրությունը: «Մադրիդյան սկզբունքներ»-ով Արցախի Հանրապետությունը անկախ էր լինելու»,- ասաց նա:
Բենիամին Մաթևոսյանը հիշեցնում է Իլհամ Ալիևի հայտարարությունը, թե հայ-ադրբեջանական բանակցություններում միջնորդներն այն տրամաբանությամբ էին բանակցությունները վարում, որ Լաչինի և Քարվաճառի շրջանները պետք է մնային հայկական:
«Մենք այդ սկզբունենրով հասել էինք նրան, որ այդ յոթ շրջանները ոչ թե մեկ հարթության մեջ էին դիտվում, այլ 5+2: Այդ ամեն ինչը չհասկանալ և այլ կերպ մեկնաբանել... Փաշինյանի հայտարարությունը քաղաքական անհրաժեշտությունից բխած հայտարարություն էր: Բանակցային պոտենցյալի տեսանկյունից այդ հայտարարությունը մեծ հարված է հասցնում Հայաստանին»,- նկատում է քաղաքագետը:
Մաթևոսյանի դիտարկմամբ՝ Լաչինի միջանցքի շրջափակումը Պրահայում ընդունած հայտարարության ուղիղ հետևանքն է:
Քաղաքագետի կարծիքով՝ Տեղ գյուղում տեղի ունեցած սադրանքը կրկնությունն է սեպտեմբերյան ագրեսիայի: Նրա կարծիքով՝ Փաշինյան-Ալիև հերթական հանդիպումից առաջ միշտ էլ տեղի են ունենում սահմանային միջադեպեր. Ադրբեջանը նման գործելաոճով ձգտում է Հայաստանից վերցնել այն, ինչ ցանկանում է:
Հիշեցնենք, որ երեկ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ԱԺ-ում հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ հայտարարեց, որ ըստ հավաստի տեղեկությունների՝ «Մադրիդյան սկզբունքներ»-ի հեղինակը հայկական կողմն է եղել․ դրանով ՀՀ-ն Ղարաբաղը ճանաչել է Ադրբեջանի մաս:
