Հունվարի 6-ին, ժամը 16.40-ին, պարեկային ծառայության կարգախմբից ոստիկանության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն հաղորդում էր ստացվել, որ Ռուբինյանց և Սևակի փողոցների խաչմերուկի մոտ տեղի է ունեցել դանակահարություն, երեք անձ տեղափոխվել են «Իզմիրլյան» բժշկական կենտրոն:
Ժամը 17.00-ին «Քանաքեռ-Զեյթուն» բժշկական կենտրոնից է հաղորդում ստացվել, որ որովայնի կտրած-ծակած վերքերով բուժօգնության է տեղափոխվել 17-ամյա պատանի. նա հայտնել էր, որ դանակահարվել է Ռուբինյանց փողոցում տեղի ունեցած վիճաբանության ժամանակ:
Հաջորդ հաղորդումը «Իզմիրլյան» բժշկական կենտրոնից էր. կտրած-ծակած վերքերով բուժօգնության էին տեղափոխվել 19-ամյա, 18-ամյա և 25-ամյա երեք երիտասարդ: 25-ամյա երիտասարդի վնասվածքներն անհամատեղելի էին կյանքի հետ, և նա հիվանդանոցում մահացել էր:
Դեպքի վայր էր մեկնել օպերատիվ-քննչական խումբ: Ձեռնարկված օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների և քննչական գործողությունների արդյունքում պարզվել է, որ Ռուբինյանց և Սևակի փողոցների խաչմերուկի մոտ մի խումբ երիտասարդների միջև վիճաբանություն և ծեծկռտուք է եղել, որի ընթացքում էլ 18-ամյա երիտասարդը դանակահարել էր հիվանդանոցներ տեղափոխվածներին:
Ձեռնարկված միջոցառումների արդյունքում նույն օրը դեպքի մասնակիցներից մեկը հայտնաբերվել և ներկայացվել է քննչական բաժին:
Ոստիկանության Քանաքեռ-Զեյթունի բաժնի ծառայողների ձեռնարկած միջոցառումների արդյունքում հունվարի 8-ին 18-ամյա երիտասարդը Լեփսիուսի փողոցի տներից մեկի մոտ հայտնաբերվել, սպանության և մարմնական վնասվածք պատճառելու կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել և ներկայացվել է վարույթն իրականացնող մարմին:

Քննչական կոմիտեից դեպքի վերաբերյալ հայտնել էին, որ «Քանաքեռ-Զեյթուն» և «Իզմիրլյան» բժշկական կենտրոններից տեղեկացրել են, որ մարմնի տարբեր հատվածներում «կտրած-ծակած վերքեր» ախտորոշմամբ իրենց մոտ բուժօգնության են տեղափոխվել Երևան քաղաքի 18, 19, 20 և 36 տարեկան քաղաքացիներ, որոնցից վերջինը, գիտակցության չգալով, մահացել է։
Ծանուցում. Ենթադրյալ հանցանքի մեջ կասկածվողը կամ մեղադրվողը համարվում է անմեղ, քանի դեռ նրա մեղավորությունն ապացուցված չէ ՀՀ քրեական դատավարության օրենսգրքով սահմանված կարգով` դատարանի` օրինական ուժի մեջ մտած դատավճռով:
