Բազմաթիվ «հարմարավետ» ու «պատրաստի փաթեթավորված» ապրանքներ ոչ միայն էժան չեն, այլև վնասակար են։ Այնպես որ, առաջարկում ենք խնայել գումարն ու առողջությունը և փորձել խուսափել հետևյալ ապրանքները գնելուց։
♦ Բուրավետիչներ (արոմատիզատոր) պարունակող մթերք։ Այո՛, հատապտուղների համով թխվածքաբլիթները, ձողիկներն ու սոուսները համեղ են, սակայն դրանց բաղադրության մեջ հատապտուղներ չէ, որ օգտագործվում են, այլ միայն քիմիական նյութեր, այնպես որ, ավելի լավ է փոխարենն իսկական հատապտուղների վրա գումար ծախսել։

♦ Շշալցված սառը թեյ։ Կարծում եք՝ թեյն առողջարար է առողջության համար ու ցածր կալորիականություն ունեցող ըմպելի՞ք է։ Այո՛, դա այդպես է, սակայն այն դեպքում, եթե Դուք հենց թեյի մասին եք խոսում։ Դե իսկ շշալցված թեյը հաճախ լի է շաքարով կամ քաղցրացուցիչներով։ Սա արդեն թեյ չէ, այլ զովացուցիչ ըմպելիք, ինչպես դրա կողքին վաճառվող լիմոնադները։

♦ Գլյուտեն չպարունակող ապրանքներ։ Եթե Դուք գլյուտենի ալերգիայով չեք տառապում կամ դրա հետ կապված հիվանդություններ չունեք, ապա դրա բացակայությամբ մթերքներից ավելի լավ է խուսափել։ Առանց գլյուտենի մթերքներում հիմնականում ավելի շատ են կալորիաները, ճարպերը, ածխաջրերն ու արհեստական հավելանյութերը, քան սովորական մթերքներում, դրա հետ մեկտեղ սրանք բավականին թանկ են։
♦ Մթերքներ, որոնց բաղադրության մեջ փայտ կա։ Չոր նախաճաշեր ու «մանրաթելերով հարուստ» բատոններ գնելիս Դուք, հնարավոր է, ամենևին էլ այն չեք ստանում, ինչ պատկերացնում եք։ Ստուգեք արդյոք՝ պիտակի վրա նշված բաղադրության մեջ նշվա՞ծ է ցելյուլոզա բառը։ Ցելյուլոզան «մանրացրած փայտի» հոմանիշն է։ 
♦ Կիսաֆաբրիկատներ: Փաթեթի վրայի պատկերը կարող է գայթակղիչ տեսք ունենալ, սակայն սառեցված պատրաստի ընթրիքները/ճաշերը/նախաճաշերը (այդ թվում այսպես կոչված՝ «առողջարար» տարբերակները) լի են նատրիումով, անառողջ ճարպերով, շաքարով, ալյուրով ու կոնսերվատներով։ Այո կիսաֆաբրիկատները կարող են հարմարավետ լինել, սակայն պատրաստի ուտեստների փոխարեն ավելի լավ է սովորական սառեցված միս, ձուկ կամ բանջարեղեն ընտրել։
♦ Շոկոլադե կամ սպիտակուցային բատոններ։ Այո, դրանք վաճառվում են որպես «առողջ» սնունդ, սակայն դրանք ոչ մի բանով ավելի լավը չեն սովորական բատոններից, իսկ եթե հաշվի առնել դրանց չափերը, ապա, թերևս, ավելի վատ են։ Ավելի լավ է մի քանի միրգ կամ մի բուռ ընկույզ ուտել, քան տրվել այս մեծ կալորիականություն ունեցող, ճարպով  ու շաքարով հարուստ բատոնների գայթակղությանը։
♦ Շշալցված ջուր։ Ավելի լավ է առողջության համար անվտանգ պլաստիկով ու ջրի թորիչով տարա գնել։ Սա ավելի էժան կլինի, քան ամեն անգամ պլաստիկե շշերով ջուր գնելը։
Իսկ հիմա լավ լուրը. նույնիսկ սուպերմարկետում կարելի է առողջության համար օգտակար ու հարմար մթերքներ գտնել։ Մրգերը, բանջարեղենն ու ընկուզեղենը կարող են համեղ ու օգտակար ճաշատեսակների հումք ծառայել։ Այո՛, դրանք վառ փաթեթավորումով չեն վաճառվում, սակայն Դուք գոնե գիտեք, թե ինչ եք գնում։
