Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին անձնապես վերահսկում է Վրաստանում նախկին նախագահ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլիի կալանավորման հետ կապված իրավիճակը, հայտարարել է նրա գրասենյակի ղեկավարի խորհրդական Միխայիլ Պոդոլյակը: Նրա խոսքով՝ Ուկրաինան «պետք է վերցնի» իր քաղաքացի Սաակաշվիլիին, գրում է «Կոմերսանտ»-ը:

«Մենք Վրաստանի իշխանություններից ակնկալում ենք հստակ պատասխան և որոշումներ կընդունենք արտգործնախարարների մակարդակով խորհրդակցություններից հետո, այժմ դրանով զբաղվում է մեր ԱԳՆ-ն: Նախագահն այս իրավիճակը մշտապես վերահսկողության տակ է պահում: Սաակաշվիլին Ուկրաինայի քաղաքացի է, և մենք պետք է վերցնենք մեր քաղաքացուն», - ասել է Պոդոլյակը:

Այսօր ավելի վաղ Ուկրաինայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Դմիտրի Կուլեբան Սաակաշվիլիին խոստացել էր աջակցություն՝ որպես երկրի քաղաքացի:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Վրաստանի նախկին նախագահ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլին, որը բերման էր ենթարկվել հայրենիք վերադառնալուց հետո, բանտում հացադուլ է հայտարարել: Այս մասին հայտարարել է Վրաստանի մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Նինո Լոմջարիան՝ Ռուսթավի քաղաքի բանտում պետության նախկին ղեկավարի հետ հանդիպումից հետո:

«Երբ ես ներս մտա, նա բժշկի մոտ էր և բուժզննում էր անցնում: Հետո մեզ հնարավորություն տրվեց զրուցել խցում: Նրա դեմ ուժ չի կիրառվել, վերաբերմունքը բավարար էր, նա բժշկական օգնության կարիք չունի: Սաակաշվիլի ասաց, որ հացադուլ է հայտարարում», - ասել է Լոմջարիան:

Ինչպես պարզաբանել է Վրաստանի օմբուդսմենը, Սաակաշվիլին իր դեմ ներկայացված մեղադրանքները համարում է քաղաքական դրդապատճառներ պարունակող, իսկ իրեն`քաղբանտարկյալ: Լոմջարիան նաև ասել է, որ Սաակաշվիլին, որպես Ուկրաինայի քաղաքացի, հանդիպում է ցանկանում այս երկրի հյուպատոսի հետ:

Ուրբաթ Վրաստանի վարչապետ Իրակլի Ղարիբաշվիլին ասել է, որ Սաակաշվիլիին ձերբակալել են հայրենիքում: Մինչ այդ, նախկին նախագահն ասել էր, որ մտադիր է տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների կայանալիք ընտրություններին վերադառնալ հայրենիք:

Վրաստանում նա գտնվում էր ներքին հետախուզման մեջ, անցնում է մի քանի քրեական գործով, և իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչները բազմիցս հայտարարել են, որ նրան կձերբակալեն սահմանը հատելուն պես: Սաակաշվիլին հեռակա կարգով դատապարտվել է բանկիր Սանդրո Գիրգվլիանիի սպանության և պատգամավոր Վալերի Գելաշվիլիի ծեծի համար: Առաջին գործով նա դատապարտվել է երեք տարվա ազատազրկման, մյուսով`վեց: Բացի այդ, Սաակաշվիլին անցնում է 2007 թվականի նոյեմբերի 7-ին ընդդիմության ցույցը ցրելու, «Իմեդի» հեռուստաընկերության ջարդերի և պետական բյուջեից միջոցների յուրացման գործերով: Բոլոր դատարանները շարունակում են դրանք քննել:
