Ինչպես նշում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը, օգոստոսի 2-ին այդ մասին հայտնել Է Չինաստանի կենտրոնական հեռուստատեսությունը՝ վկայակոչելով տեղի իշխանություններին:
Ավելի վաղ արտակարգ իրավիճակների տարածաշրջանային ծառայությունը տեղեկացրել Էր 99 զոհի մասին:
Հուլիսի 16-ին Հենանում մոլեգնել են տեղատարափ անձրևներ, որոնք հեղեղումների պատճառ են դարձել: Հուլիսի 29-ին տարածաշրջանի իշխանությունները հայտնել են, որ տարերային աղետից տուժել Է նահանգի գրգեթե 14 միլիոն բնակիչ: Ջրի հոսքերը իրենց տակ են առել ավելի քան 1 միլիոն հեկտար գյուղատնտեսական հանդակներ, ինչպես նաև քանդել կամ վնասել են 840 000 բնակելի շենք:
