Ինչի՞ց է պատրաստվում ապակին, և որտե՞ղ է այն հայտնագործվել
ՀԱՆՐԱՀԱՅՏ ՄՈԼՈՐՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐՆերկայումս էլ ճշգրիտ հայտնի չէ, թե ով և երբ է հորինել ապակին: Այն օգտագործվել է դեռ հին ժամանակներից: Դրա արտադրության հիմնական բաղադրիչներն են սոդան և ավազը, որոնք կարելի է գտնել մոլորակի ցանկացած հատվածում, ուստի և անհնար է ապակու գյուտի տեղը պարզել:
Պլինիոս Ավագը (մ.թ.ա. 23–79) իր «Բնության պատմություն» գրքում գրել է, որ փյունիկցի առևտրականներն են ապակի ստանալը հորինել: Նրանք Սիդոնից նավով տարբեր ապրանքներ են բերել: Փոթորիկ է սկսվել, և փյունիկցիները, որոշելով սպասել ափին, կրակ են վառել սնունդ պատրաստելու համար: Կաթսայի համար անհրաժեշտ են եղել քարեր, որոնք չեն գտնվել, և որոշել են վերցնել նավի վրա եղած սոդայի հսկայական բլոկները: Պատրաստելուց հետո նրանք սոդան չեն գտել, փոխարենը առևտրականները կրակի մեջ գտել են անհայտ նյութ, որը հայտնվում է այն ժամանակ, երբ սոդան խառնվում է ավազի հետ, և այդ զանգվածի վրա ազդում է բարձր ջերմաստիճանը:
Համարվում է, որ այդպես են հայտնագործվել ապակի ստանալու համար անհրաժեշտ նյութերը և արտադրության տեխնոլոգիան: Քսաներորդ դարի կեսերին մի խումբ ակտիվիստներ որոշել են ստուգել այս տեղեկատվության հավաստիությունը: Իրականացնելով ամեն ինչ այնպես, ինչպես նկարագրվել է ապակու գյուտի պատմության մեջ, նրանց չի հաջողվել ստանալ ապակի:
Դրա պատճառը, նրանց կարծիքով, եղել է ոչ բավարար բարձր ջերմաստիճանը, որի պատճառով էլ ավազի ու սոդայի միաձուլում տեղի չի ունեցել, բանն այն է, որ անհրաժեշտ ջերմություն կարելի է ստանալ միայն համապատասխան վառարանում: Ներկայումս համարվում է, որ Եգիպտոսում են սկսել ստանալ ապակե խեցեգործական իրեր: Եգիպտացի բրուտի մի օգնական պատահաբար կավի թրծման վառարանի մեջ է գցել ավազի և սոդայի խառնուրդի կտոր, այնուհետև արդյունքում թրծվող կավե ամանը արտաքինից պատվել է բարակ ապակու շերտով: Հենց դա էլ եղել է ապակու ստեղծման սկիզբը:
Հնագիտական պեղումներով Եգիպտոսում հայտնաբերվել են մ. թ. ա. 4–3-րդ հազարամյակներին վերագրվող ապակե զանազան զարդեր և ամանեղեն, բարձրորակ ապակուց սկահակներ։ Ընդհուպ մինչև մեր թվարկությունը Եգիպտոսը համարվել է ապակեգործության կենտրոն։
Եգիպտական ծագում ունեցող բազմաթիվ ապակե սրվակներ հայտնաբերվել են նաև միջերկրածովյան երկրներում։ Ապակե իրեր պատրաստել են նաև Չինաստանում դեռևս մ. թ. ա. 5–3-րդ դարերում։ Մ. թ. ա. 1-ին դարում հայտնաբերվել է ապակու փչման տեխնիկան, և խոշոր հեղաշրջում է կատարվել ապակեգործության ասպարեզում։ Միջին դարերում ապակեգործության հիմնական կենտրոնները գտնվել են Բյուզանդիայում, Մերձավոր Արևելքում, Անդրկովկասում, Միջին Ասիայում։
Արտադրվել են արծաթապատ, ոսկեզօծ և նկարազարդ անոթներ։ 17րդ դարում Անգլիայում և Չեխիայում հայտնաբերվել է բյուրեղապակին։ Հին Հայաստանում նույնպես լայնորեն տարածված են եղել ապակե զարդերն ու առարկաները: Միջնադարյան Հայաստանում ապակե գունագեղ ու բազմաձև իրեր պատրաստել են հիմնականում Դվինում և Անիում։
