Լրացավ Սպիտակի երկրաշարժի 31-րդ տարելիցը
SOCIETY31 տարի առաջ՝ 1988 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 7-ին, տեղի է ունեցել Հայաստանի ժամանակակից պատմության ամենադաժան ողբերգություններից մեկը։ Հայաստանի ԽՍՀ հյուսիսային շրջանները այդ օրը ժամը 11։41-ին ցնցվեցին ավերիչ երկրաշարժից, որը էպիկենտրոնի անունով կոչվեց Սպիտակի երկարաշարժ։
Ավելի քան 25 հազար մարդու կյանք ընդհատվեց, տասնյակ հազարավորները վիրավորվեցին, հարյուր հազարավոր մարդիկ էլ անօթեւան մնացին։ Անմիջապես էպիկենտրոնում գտնվող Նալբանդ գյուղն ու մերձակայքում գտնվող Սպիտակ քաղաքը հողին հավասարվեցին։ Մեծապես տուժեցին հանրապետության մեծությամբ երկրորդ եւ երրորդ քաղաքները՝ Լենինականն (Գյումրի) եւ Կիրովականը (Վանաձոր)։ Գրեթե ամբողջությամբ ավերվեցին բարձրահարկ շենքերը, եւ սա մեծ թվով զոհերի պատճառներից մեկն էր։
Մյուս պատճառն այն էր, որ ավերիչ երկրաշարժը, որի գերազանցեց 7 մագնիտուդը, տեւեց կես րոպե։ Երկրաշարժը զգացվել է Երեւանում եւ Թբիլիսիում, այն գրանցվել է աշխարհի սեյսմոլոգիական կայաններում։
Ավերակների տակ հայտնվեցին տասնյակ հազարավոր մարդիկ։ Ավերվեցին գործարաններ ու ֆաբրիկաներ, դպրոցներ ու հիվանդանոցներ, տուժեցին ենթակառուցվածքներ։ ԽՍՀՄ բոլոր հանրապետությունները, օտարերկրյա պետությունները օգնության շտապեցին տուժած Հայաստանին։
Ցավոք, երկարաշարժի հետեւանքների վերացումը երկու ինքնաթիռների անձնակազմի կյանք խլեց․ զոհվեցին հումանիտար օգնություն բերող խորհրդային եւ հարավսլավական ինքնաթիռների անձնակազմը։ Ավերակների մաքրման աշխատանքներին մասնակցում էին խորհրդային բանակի մի քանի հազար զինվոր ու սպա։ Աղետալի ողբերգությունը ստիպեց մտածել հատուկ ստորաբաժանման մասին, որը հետագայում ստեղծվեց ԱԻՆ-ում։
Սկսվեց տուժած շրջանների ակտիվ վերականգնման ծրագիրը, որը ընդհատվեց ԽՍՀՄ փլուզմամբ։ 31 տարի անց անօթեւան դարձած մարդկանց մեծ մասը ապահովվել է բնակարաններով։ Սակայն Շիրակի ու Լոռու մարզերում դեռ կան ընտանքիներ, որոնք շարունակում են գոյատեւել տնակներում ու ժամանակավոր կացարաններում։
