Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, անդրադառնալով իր այն հայտարարությանը, որ դավադիր ուժեր կան, որոնք երկու պետությունների միջև փորձում են սեպ խրել, ասաց՝ ինքը և´ ԼՂՀ, և´ ՀՀ ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության հետ մի քանի անգամ հանդիպումներ է ունեցել և ներկայացրել ԼՂ հարցի լուծման վերաբերյալ իր տեսլականը. «Ուզում եմ ձեր ուշադրությունը դարձնեք. հանդիպել եմ և´ ԼՂՀ ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության, և´ ՀՀ ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության հետ: Հետաքրքրվել եմ՝ իմ ներկայացրած առաջարկների հետ կապված առարկություններ կա՞ն: Համաձա՞յն են էս տեսլականի հետ, թե համաձայն չեն: Պարզվել է՝ բոլորը համաձայն են: Եվ երբ դրանից հետո էդ սեղանի շուրջ եղած մարդիկ հրահրում են տակից՝ ասելով, որ էս կառավարությունը հողեր է ծախում, ինձ մոտ հարց է առաջանում՝ ես էս մարդու հետ գաղտնիության պայմաններում նստել, խոսել եմ՝ ոնց եմ պատկերացնում՝ ինչ քայլերով պետք ա գնանք առաջ: Եթե էս մարդը սենյակից դուրս է գալիս ու իր օգնականին ասում՝ գնա ֆեյսբուքում գրի, որ Փաշինյանը հողերը ծախում է, ինչի՞ համար է դա: Ինքը գիտի 100 տոկոսով՝ ինչ ա կատարվում»:

Վարչապետն ասաց, որ Ղարաբաղի բանակցային պրոցեսի վերաբերալ փաստաթղթերն ինքն է փոխանցել ԼՂ իշխանություններին. «Նրանք դրանից առաջ տեղյակ չեն եղել՝ ինչ են բանակցել ինձնից առաջ, հինգ անգամ հարցրել եմ՝ դուք տեղյա՞կ եք, իրենք տեղյակ չեն եղել, բայց դրանից հետո իրենք գնում են, նույնիսկ անձամբ գրում են՝ էս ապազգային իշխանությունը, հակազգային իշխանությունը»:

Հարցին՝ իրենք ասելով՝ ո՞ւմ նկատի ունի, վարչապետն ասաց՝ ասացի, շատ կոնկրետացնելու կարիք կա՞:

Վարչապետ Փաշինյանը անդրադարձավ նաև ԱԺ Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հանգամանքները քննող հանձնաժողովին, մասնավորապես, այն հարցին, թե արդյոք առաջիկայում հանրությունը սպասի՞ աղմկահարույց բացահայտումների: Նա նշեց, որ  քննիչ հանձնաժողովը ստեղծվում է մի նպատակով՝ պարզելու, թե արդյոք ՀՀ ԶՈՒ-ն պատշաճ ձևով պատրա՞ստ է եղել այդ զարգացումներին, այլ ոչ թե ինչ-որ մեկին պատժելու համար. «Բայց եթե հընթացս պարզվի, որ ինչ-որ մեկը պատժելու ենթակա արարք է թույլ տվել, բնականաբար, կպատժվի, բայց մեր մեծագույն խնդիրն այն է՝ երաշխավորել, որ նույնպիսի իրավիճակ չկրկնվի»:

Հարցին՝ վարչապետը բազմիցս ասել է, որ հետախուզությունը գիտեր, որ լինելու հարձակում, հավանաբար այդ հարցը և՞ս կքննի հանձնաժողովը, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն  ասաց. «Բոլոր հարցերը պետք է հանձնաժողովում վեր հանվեն: Կարծում եմ՝ խորհրդարանական ֆորմատն այդ առումով ամենահարմարն է, որ ընդդիմությունն էլ ներգրավված լինի»:
