Մենք գիտենք, որ... 

Դելֆինները մարդասեր կենդանիներ են, նրանք փրկում են խեղդվող մարդկանց և չեն թողնում, որ նրանց մոտենան շնաձկները։

Իրականում այնքան էլ այդպես չէ։

Իհարկե, դելֆինները շատ խելացի կենդանիներ են։ Նրանց ուղեղը զարգացած է ու մեծ, կառուցվածքով բարդ է, ինչպես մարդկային ուղեղը։ Դելֆինները սոցիալական կենդանիներ են, ապրում են խմբերով, իրականացնում են խմբակային որս, շփվում են խմբի ներսում՝ բավականին զարգացած ազդանշանային համակարգերով («բառապաշարը» մինչև 14000 ձայնային ազդանշանից է կազմված), օժտված են էմոցիաներով՝ օգնում են անօգնական ցեղակիցներին, շատ են սիրում խաղալ, շատ հետաքրքրասեր են։

Այս ամենով հանդերձ ասել, որ նրանք հասկանալով են փրկում մարդկանց՝ սխալ է։ Իրականում այդ ամենը կատարվում  է բնազդով։ Հիվանդ դելֆինին մնացածները հրելով բարձրացնում են ջրի երես, որ նա կարողանա շնչել, սա սովորական ցեղատեսակի պահպանման բնազդ է, նույն կերպ նրանք կարող են ջրի երես բարձրացնել մարդուն կամ այլ կենդանու։ Իսկ շնաձկներին քշում են այն պարզ պատճառով, որ ընդհանրապես շնաձկները նրանց բնական թշնամիներն են։ Որոշ հետազոտողներ կարծում են, որ մարդուն ջրի մակերևույթ բարձրացնելը դելֆինի համար խաղ է, կարող է բարձրացնել, հետո խորասուզել, հետո նորից բարձրացնել, մի խոսքով՝ խաղալ։

Բացի այս ամենը, դելֆինին մարդասեր համարելու հարցում գործում է այսպես կոչված «վերապրողի համակարգային սխալը»։ Այսինքն, երբ մի խմբի դեպքում (կենդանի մնացածներ) առկա են բազմաթիվ փաստեր, իսկ մյուս խմբի դեպքում (մահացածներ) փաստեր չկան։ Այսինքն, եթե դելֆինը ոչ թե փրկել է, այլ խեղդել է մարդուն, այդ մասին ոչ ոք չի կարող պատմել։ Դե, մահացածները վկայություն չեն տալիս:

Պուշկինի բառապաշարը կազմում էր 30 000 բառ, դելֆիններինը 14 000 է, «12 աթոռ» վեպի հերոսուհիներից մեկինը՝ Էլոչկա Լյուդոեդկինայինը՝ 30 բառ, իսկ ահա մեր որոշ պատգամավորների մոտ այն մինչև 10–ն է, երևի այնքան, ինչքան կարողանում են հաշվել՝ ոչ փողի դեպքում։
