Հաջորդ վարչապետի շուրջ քննարկումները ՀՀԿ-ի ներսում գոյություն ունեցող պայքարի մասին էին. «Հայկական ժամանակ».
POLITICS«Հայկական ժամանակ»-ը գրում է.
«Երեկ «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» կուսակցության նախագահ, «Ելք» խմբակցության պատգամավոր էդմոն Մարուքյանը չի բացառել, որ 2018-ին «Ելքը» վարչապետի այլընտրանքային թեկնածու ներկայացնի:
Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատասխանելով հարցին, թե հնարավո՞ր է ձեր այլընտրանքային թեկնածուն ունենաք, և ո՞վ կլինի, Մարուքյանը պատասխանել է. «Կարծում եմ, երբ առաջադրելու ժամանակը գա, մենք կքննարկենք: Կարծում եմ նաև, որ չի բացառվում, որ մենք այլընտրանքային թեկնածու ունենանք»:
Մինչև այժմ տպավորություն էր, որ Հայաստանի քաղաքական ուժերը խորհրդարանական և արտախորհրդարանական, ամբողջովին համակերպվել են այն հեռանկարի հետ, որ 2018-ի ապրիլին Սերժ Սարգսյանի նախագահության 10 տարին լրանալուց հետո Հայաստանի քաղաքական կյանքում ոչինչ հնարավոր չէ փոխել:
Այսպիսի տպավորություն էր ստեղծվում հատկապես քաղաքական գործիչների այն հարցազրույցներից, որտեղ նրանք առանձնահատուկ շեշտում էին, որ անցած խորհրդարանական ընտրություններով որոշված է, թե որ կուսակցությունը պետք է կառավարի խորհրդարանական մոդելի անցած Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը, ուստի հենց այդ կուսակցությունն էլ 2018-ի ապրիլին կառաջադրի և կանցկացնի վարչապետի իր թեկնածուին: Խոսքը, բնականաբար, ՀՀԿ-ի և ՀՀԿ-ի վարչապետի թեկնածուի մասին է: Մինչև երեկ հաջորդ վարչապետի շուրջ բոլոր քննարկումները վերաբերում էին ՀՀԿ-ի ներսում գոյություն ունեցող պայքարին՝ մասնավորապես՝ Սերժ Սարգսյան, թե Կարեն Կարապետյան, կամ ներիշխանական ինչ-ինչ հնարավոր վերադասավորումներին:
Վերջին շրջանում տպավորություն էր ստեղծվում նաև, որ այս պայքարի մեջ է տեղավորվել նաև Հայ հեղափոխական դաշնակցությունը, որի առանցքային ներկայացուցիչները մեկ օրվա մեջ սկսեցին կտրուկ պաշտպանել վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանի դիրքերը, և հակառակը՝ խոցել Սերժ Սարգսյանին:
Թեպետ, ՀՅԴ-ն դեռ հոկտեմբերի վերջին Բյուրոյի և ԳՄ-ի համատեղ ընդլայնված նիստի արդյունքներով ընդունված հայտարարությամբ նախազգուշացրել էր կոալիցիոն գործընկերոջը, որ առաջիկա քաղաքական գործընթացներում առաջնորդվելու է նախաձեռնողականության և ինքնուրույնության գործելակերպով: Սակայն այս հայտարարությունից հետո տեսանելի ոչ մի քայլի կուսակցությունը չէր դիմել, մինչև որ «Գելափ»-ը չհայտարարեց Սերժ Սարգսյանի վարկանիշի բարձրացման մասին:
Սա առիթ եղավ, որպեսզի ՀՅԴ-ն գործի մեջ ցույց տա իր վճռականությունն ու ինքնուրույնությունը, ինչն արտահայտվեց վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանին «պաշտպանելով»»,-գրում է թերթը:
