Մարդու օրգանիզմում ամենանուրբ արյունատար անոթները կոչվում են մազանոթներ: Ամեն մի արյունահոսություն արդյունք է արյունատար անոթների վնասվածքի: Ամենից հաճախ վնասվում են մազանոթները: Նման արյունահոսությունը սովորաբար մակարդվում է ինքն իրեն` առաջացած թանձրուկն ինքն է փակում վիրավոր անոթը: Այս դեպքում կարելի է սահմանափակվել վերքի շուրջը յոդ քսելով:
 
 
Զարկերակը վնասելու դեպքում վերքից ընդհատվող շիթի ձեւով խփում է բաց կարմիր արյուն, իսկ երբ վնասվում է երակը, ապա արյունը լինում է մուգ կարմիր գույնի եւ արտահոսում է միահավասար շիթով, ավելի փոքր ճնշման տակ:
 
 
Ամենավտանգավորը զարկերակային արյունահոսությունն է, երբ առաջին օգնություն ցույց տալու արագությունից է կախված մարդու կյանքը: Այս դեպքում պետք է ձգտել կանգնեցնել արյունահոսությունը: Դա արվում է հետեւյալ կերպ. վերքն ուժեղ կապում են ախտահանված վիրակապային նյութով (թանզիֆ) եւ ամուր սեղմում են: Այդպիսի վիրակապ չի կարելի դնել, եթե վերքի մեջ կա սուր առարկա` ապակու կամ մետաղի կտոր, կամ, եթե վերքը գտնվում է ջարդված ոսկորի վրա:
 
 
 
Ուժեղ արյունահոսությունը կարելի է ժամանակավորապես դադարեցնել համապատասխան արյունատար անոթը ձեռքով ոսկորի վրա սեղմելով` զարկերակը պետք է սեղմել վերքի վերեւից, այսինքն` բնին մոտ, իսկ երակը` ներքեւից: Այս միջոցին կարելի է դիմել միայն առաջին օգնության սկզբի մի քանի րոպեների ընթացքում:
