ՀՀ ժողովրդական նկարիչ և քանդակագործ Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հոգեհանգստի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա հուլիսի 10-ին, ժամը 18:00-20:00-ը, Կոնդի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում: Վերջին հրաժեշտը` հուլիսի 11-ին, ժամը 13:00-14:00-ն,Հայաստանի նկարիչների միության շենքում (հասցե՝ Աբովյան 16): Հուղարկավորությունը` Երևանի քաղաքային պանթեոնում: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հուղարկավորության կազմակերպման կառավարական հանձնաժողով:

2017 թվականի հուլիսի 6-ին, 86 տարեկան հասակում կյանքից հեռացավ ՀՀ ժողովրդական նկարիչ, քանդակագործ Արտուշ (Արտաշես) Հովսեփյանը:

Արտուշ Ավագի Հովսեփյանը ծնվել է 1931 թվականի հունիսի 22-ին, Սյունյաց աշխարհի Սառնակունք գյուղում: 1954 թվականին ընդունվել է Երևանի Փ. Թերլեմեզյանի անվան ուսումնարան, որի երկրորդ կուրսից իր ուսուցչի` Ղուկաս Չուբարյանի հորդորով տեղափոխվել է Լենինգրադ` ուսանելու Ի. Ռեպինի անվան գեղանկարչության, քանդակագործության և ճարտարապետության ինստիտուտում:

Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի` Մաեստրոյի (ինչպես իրեն անվանում էին արվեստակից ընկերները) արվեստին բնորոշ են ծավալապլաստիկ խնդիրների համարձակ և դիպուկ լուծումները, գեղարվեստական ընդհանրացման մեծ ուժն ու մոնումենտալիզմի խոր զգացողությունը: Ակադեմիական կերպարվեստի և քանդակագործության շունչն ու ոգին վերընձյուղելով իր խորապես հայկական էությանը, հարազատ Սյունյաց լեռների գեղեցկությամբ ներշնչված մտապատկերներին, Արտաշես Հովսեփյանը քանդակը վերածում էր երկրի ու մարդկանց մասին քարե պատմության, հուշարձանը՝ վերածում քարե պոետիկայի:

Նրա առավել հայտնի աշխատանքների թվին է պատկանում Ալեքսանդր Թամանյանի արձանը (1974 թ., Երևան, ճարտարապետ` Սեդա Պետրոսյան), Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու որմնաքանդակները (1975 թ., Երևան, ճարտարապետ` Ռաֆայել Իսրայելյան), Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Վեհարանի բակի խաչքարը (1975 թ.), Սիսիան քաղաքի մուտքի արծիվը (1975 թ.), Երևանի կոնյակի գործարանի որմնաքանդակները (1975-1993 թթ.), Կ. Դեմիրճյանի անվան Երևանի Մետրոպոլիտենի «Սասունցի Դավիթ» կայարանի որմնաքանդակները (1981 թ.), կոմպոզիտոր Արմեն Տիգրանյանի արձանը (1987 թ., ճարտարապետ` Ֆենիքս Դարբինյան), գիտնականներ Օրբելի եղբայրների հուշարձանը (1988 թ., ք. Ծաղկաձոր, ճարտարապետ` Ռոմեո Ջուլհակյան):

Արտաշես Հովսեփյանը ստեղծել է նաև դիմաքանդակների հոյակերտ շարք, ինչպես նաև գրաֆիկական աշխատանքներ: Արվեստագետի վերջին ստեղծագործություններից մեկը արձակագիր Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի արձանն է` գրողի անունը կրող դպրոցի բակում (2013 թ., Երևան):

Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի պայծառ հիշատակը երկար կմնա գործընկերների, մտերիմների, արվեստասերների սրտերում:

ՀՀ վարչապետի որոշմամբ ստեղծվել է Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հուղարկավորության կազմակերպման կառավարական հանձնաժողով:
