ԱՄՆ ՌԾՈՒ Fitzgerald հածանավը, որը Ճապոնիայի ափերի մոտ այս գիշեր բախվել է կոնտեյներատարի հետ, վերադարձել է Յոկոսուկա բազա, որը դեպքի վայրից 100 կմ հեռավորության վրա է գտնվում։ Այս մասին շաբաթ հայտնել է ԱՄՆ 7-րդ նավատորմի հրամանատարությունը, որը տեղակայված է Խաղաղ օվկիանոսում, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։
Ֆիլիպինների դրոշով ACX Crystal կոնտեյներատարի հետ ամերիկյան հածանավի բախումը տեղի էր ունեցել Իդզու թերակղզուց հարավ։ Արդյուքնում հածանավը լուրջ վնասվածքներ էր ստացել աջ կողմից, իսկ կոնտեյներատարի քթամասն է վնասվել։ Որոնողական փրկարարական գործողությունների իրականացման համար դեպքի վայր են ժամանել Ճապոնիայի Առափնյա պաշտպանության ավիացիոն տեխնիկայի երկու միավոր ու հինգ առագաստանավ։ Առայսօր անհայտ է մնում հածանավի յոթ անդամների ճակատագիրը։
