Բժիշկ Յանգն ասում է, որ նախաճաշը բաց թողած մարդիկ սովորաբար օրվա ընթացքում չափից շատ են ուտում։ Դրա տրամաբանությունը հետևյալն է՝ «Ես առավոտյան ոչինչ չեմ կերել, կարող եմ լավ ճաշել»։ Դրա փոխարեն Յանգը խորհուրդ է տալիս որևէ բան ուտել արթնանալու պահից հետո 2-3 ժամվա ընթացքում, և դա պարտադիր չէ, որ ինչ-որ մեծ ճաշ լինի։ Կարելի է պարզապես որևէ միրգ կամ սենդվիչ ուտել։ Նույնիսկ մրգային յոգուրտը նախաճաշ է համարվում։
