Հայաստանի և Լատվիայի ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունները՝ «Արմենպրես»-ը և «Լետա»-ն, ստորագրել են համագործակցության համաձայնագիր, որը հնարավորություն կտա երկու գործակալությունների միջև ակտիվացնել տեղեկատվական փոխանակումը և մասնագիտական գործակցությունը: Այս մասին հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ի թղթակիցը Ռիգայից: Փաստաթուղթն ստորագրել են «Արմենպրես»-ի տնօրեն Արամ Անանյանը և «Լետա»-ի Տնօրենների խորհրդի անդամ Յուրիս Մենզինչը: Համաձայնագիրը ստորագրվել է Լատվիայում Հայաստանի մշակույթի օրերի շրջանակում:
«Հայաստանի և Լատվիայի ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունների միջև ստորագրված համաձայնագիրը լավ հնարավորություն է ամրապնդելու մասնագիտական համագործակցությունը, ինչպես նաև խթանելու տեղեկատվության փոխանակումը: Կարծում ենք՝ համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը երկու գործակալությունների համար գործակցության նոր էջ կբացի»,-նշել է «Արմենպրես»-ի տնօրեն Արամ Անանյանը:
Լատվիայի գործակալության ղեկավար Յուրիս Մենզինչն իր հերթին ընդգծել է երկու գործակալությունների միջև տեղեկատվական փոխանակումների նշանակալիությունը: Մեծապես կարևորվել է փաստաթղթի ստորագրումը, նշվել, որ բազմաթիվ համատեղ ծրագրեր կարող են իրականացվել:
Երկու գործակալությունների ղեկավարները պատրաստակամություն են հայտնել փորձի փոխանակման փոխհարստացնող միջոցառումների անցկացման: Համաձայնագիրը հնարավորություն կտա երկու երկրների առաջատար գործակալություններին համագործակցություն ծավալել նաև լուսանկարների ժապավենների փոխանակման հարցում:
«Արմենպրես» լրատվական գործակալությունը հիմնադրվել է 1918 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 18-ին: Այն պետական լրատվամիջոց է: Գործակալությունն ամենահինն է Հայաստանում: Ներկայում թողարկում է տասնմեկ լրատվական ժապավեն` 4 լեզուներով: «Արմենպրես»-ը աշխարհի ավելի քան 20 առաջատար լրատվական գործակալությունների հետ ունի երկկողմ գործակցության պայմանագրեր, որոնց շուրջ մեկ երրորդը կնքվել է վերջին հինգ տարիներին:
«Լետան» բալթյան խոշորագույն լրատվական գործակալություններից մեկն է, որն ապահովում է բալթյան տարածաշրջանի քաղաքական, տնտեսական, սոցիալական, մշակութային կյանքի մասին բազմալեզու տեղեկատվություն։ Այն հիմնադրվել է 1919 թվականին:
