ՄԱԿ-ը 20 տարում օգնել Է զորացրելու ավելի քան 115 հազար զինվոր-երեխաների

Վերջին 20 տարում զինված հակամարտությունների՝ ավելի քան 115 հազար դեռահաս մասնակիցներ են զորացրվել ՄԱԿ-ի, կառավարությունների եւ քաղաքացիական հասարակության կազմակերպությունների ջանքերի շնորհիվ: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, փետրվարի 8-ին այս մասին հայտնել Է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ստեֆան Դյուժարիկը Գլխավոր ասամբելայի թիվ 51/77 բանաձեւի ընդունման 20-ամյակի առթիվ, որը նվիրված Է երեխաների եւ զինված հակամարտությունների խնդիրներին:
«Կառավարությունների, ՄԱԿ-ի եւ քաղաքացիական հասարակության կազմակերպությունների ջանքերի շնորհիվ ավելի քան 115 հազար երեխաներ են զորացրվել պետությունների զինված ուժերից եւ ազատվել զինված կազմավորումներից»,- ասել Է նա: Դյուժարիկի խոսքով՝ բազմապատկվող հակամարտությունները շարունակում են վիթխարի վտանգի ենթակել երեխաներին, եւ նրանց բռնությունից լիովին զերծ պահելու միակ միջոցը ճգնաժամերի առաջացումը կանխելն Է:
ՄԱԿ-ը սահմանում Է երեխաների նկատմամբ վեց առավել լուրջ հանցագործությունները զինված հակամարտությունների պայմաններում. սպանությունը կամ հաշմելը, սեռական բռնությունը, առեւանգումը, մարտական գործողություններին մասնակցելուն պարտադրելը, հարձակումները դպրոցների եւ հիվանդանոցների վրա, ինչպես նաեւ մարդասիրական օգնության մերժումը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
