Կատարելության ձգտում։ Ամեն ինչ միշտ չափազանց բարդ է, եթե դուք պերֆեկցիոնիստ եք։ Այդպիսի մարդու համար շատ դժվար է երջանկության հասնելը, քանի որ նույնիսկ երջանկության հասնելու ճանապարհը պետք է իդեալական լինի։ Միշտ կգնվի ինչ-որ մեկը կամ ինչ-որ բան, որն ավելի լավն է։ Այսպիսի մարդու համար երջանկության րոպեները մինիմալ են և հազվադեպ՝ միայն այն դեպքում է նա երջանիկ, երբ զգում է, որ ամեն ինչ իդեալական է արել և ընդամենն այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ չի տեսել, որ ինչ-որ մեկն այն ավելի լավ է արել։

Շփում այն անձանց հետ, ովքեր մշտապես դժգոհ են ինչ-որ բանից։ Մարդը սոցիալական էակ է։ Մենք չենք կարող ամբողջությամբ կտրվել մյուսներից։ Նրանք, ում հետ մենք շփվում ենք, մեծ ազդեցություն են ունենում մեզ վրա։ Կարո՞ղ է մարդը երջանիկ լինել, երբ նրա շուրջ մարդիկ մշտապես ասում են, որ կյանքն ահավոր է, անարդար և դաժան։ Գերադասելի է խուսափել այդպիսի մարդկանցից։ Եթե դա ձեզ ասում է ներքին ձայնը, նշանակում է՝ անհրաժեշտ է լրջորեն աշխատել ինքներդ ձեզ վրա։

Մշտական մտքեր անցյալի և ապագայի մասին՝ ներկայի փոխարեն։«Այստեղ և հիմա» կանոնը գիտեն բոլորը։ Կենտրոնանալով ապագայի կամ անցյալի մասին մտքերի վրա՝ կորցնում ենք ներկա պահի զգացումը։ Մենք հաճախ ֆիքսվում ենք որևէ բացասական բանի վրա և հազվադեպ հիշում հաճելի պահերը։ Մենք տանջվում ենք այն մտքի պատճառով, որ ինչ-որ բան չի ստացվել, քանի որ մեզ մերժել են, քանի որ մենք սխալ ենք վարվել։ Սակայն այս ամենի համար ժամանակ գոյություն ունի՝ տխրեցինք, վերլուծեցինք, հետևություններ արեցինք։ Ահա և վերջ. շարժվում ենք առաջ։

Համեմատում եք ձեզ և ձեր կյանքը մյուսների հետ։ Ինքներդ ձեզ մշտապես ուրիշների հետ համեմատելը շատ վատ սովորություն է։ Համեմատություն անելիս որքան հաճախ ավելի լավը լինեք, այնքան ցավոտ կլինի հետագայում, երբ որևէ մեկը ձեզնից ավելի լավը լինի։

Կյանքի բացասական պահերի վրա կենտրոնանալը։ Հեռու մի գնացեք. սպասեք հերթում, որտեղ շատ թոշակառուներ կան, ովքեր ամբողջ օրը հետևում են նորություններին։ Բոլոր խոսակցություններն այն մասին են, որ ամեն պահի գողանում են, սպանում, հեռացնում աշխատանքից, «լավագույն ընկերները գողանում են» մյուսների կանանց և ամուսիններին։ Ապա հաջորդում է խոսակցություն այն մասին, որ «ԽՍՀՄ ժամանակներում նման բան չկար»։ Տատիկը դրանում ապրում է ամեն օր, և այդ նորությունները նրա կյանքն են։ Նույն կերպ նրա համար երիտասարդությունը դարձել է զուրկ արժեքներից։

Շրջապատի կարծիքից կախված լինելը։ Նախքան որևէ բան անելը միշտ մտածում ես՝ «իսկ ինչ կմտածեն կամ կասեն մարդիկ»։ Ձեզ կարող է թվալ, թե գտնվում եք շատերի ուշադրության կենտրոնում, և ստանդարտ սահմանների խախտումը կարող է դատապարտման պատճառ դառնալ։ Եթե նույնիսկ փորձում եք որևէ նոր բան անել, դա անում եք հասարակությունից գաղտնի։ Սա ակնհայտորեն խանգարում է անձնական զարգացմանը, բնականաբար, նաև երջանկությանը։

Կյանքը բարդացնելը։ Կյանքը հետաքրքիր է, բայց միևնույն ժամանակ՝ բարդ։ Բայց ամենահետաքրքիրն այն է, որ բարդությունների և «անհաղթահարելի» խոչընդոտների մեծ մասն ինքներս ենք ստեղծում։
