Բան Կի Մունը Հաիթիին աջակցելու կոչ է արել

ՄԱԿ գլխավոր քարտուղար Բան Կի Մունը կոչ է արել աջակցել Հաիթիին, որը սաստիկ տուժել է «Մեթյու» փոթորկից։ «Ես բոլոր բարեկամական երկրներին կոչ եմ անում անհրաժեշտ օգնություն ցուցաբերել Հաիթիին, որի բնակչությունն ունի դրա կարիքը»․- ասել է Բան Կի Մունը հոկտեմբերի 16-ին, Հաիթի կատարած իր այցի ժամանակ։ ՄԱԿ-ի ղեկավարը երկրի մայրաքաղաք Պորտ-օ- Պրենս է ժամանել, իսկ հետո Լե Կե քաղաք է այցելել, որն ամեաշատն է տուժել փոթորկից, հայտնում է DW–ն։
Ավելի վաղ ՄԱԿ-ը միջազգային համայնքին կոչ էր արել համատեղ ջանքերով կղզի պետությանը 120 մլն դոլար հատկացնել,՝ օգնելու մարդկանց հաղթահարել տարերային աղետի հետեւանքները։ Սակայն մինչեւ հիմա ընդամենը 14․4 մլն դոլար է հավաքվել։ Իր այցով Բան Կի Մունը հույս ունի համախմբել դոնոր երկրներին ու կանխել երկրում նոր հումանիտար աղետը։
Վերջին տեղեկություններով, փոթորկի հետեւանքով 546 մարդ է զոհվել։ Գրեթե 1․5 մլն մարդ շտապ օգնության կարիք ունի։ Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը վախենում է խոլերայի զանգվածային տարածման վտանգից, որի կանխարգելման համար Հաիթի է ուղարկել մոտ մեկ միլիոն պատվաստանյութ։
