Լայպցիգում ձերբակալված սիրիացի Ջաբեր ալ Բաքրը, որին կասկածում են ահաբեկչական գործողություն պատրաստելու մեջ, ինքնասպան Է եղել նախնական կալանման խցում: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է Spiegel-Online հրատարակությունը՝ հղում անելով իրավապահ մարմինների աղբյուրների: 

ԶԼՄ-ների տեղեկատվության համաձայն՝ 22-ամյա ալ Բաքրին մեռած են գտել իր խցում: Ինչպես նշում Է Spiegel-Online-ը, սիրիացին մահվանից առաջ հացադուլ Էր հայտարարել եւ գտնվում Էր մշտական հսկողության ներքո, ուստի առայժմ հայտնի չԷ, թե ինչպես Է նրան հաջողվել ինքնասպանություն գործել: 

Գերմանիայի ոստիկանությունն ալ Բաքրին Լայպցիգում ձերբակալել Էր հոկտեմբերի լույս 10-ի գիշերը:

Ավելի վաղ ԳՖՀ-ի Սահմանադրության պահպանության դաշնային գերատեսչության ղեկավար Հանս Գեորգ Մաասենը հայտնել Է, որ  Ջաբեր ալ Բաքրը պլանավորում Էր գրոհ իրականացնել Գերմանիայի մայրաքաղաքի օդանավակայաններից մեկում: «Մենք տեղեկություններ ունեինք, որ նա նախ ցանկանում Էր Գերմանիայում գրոհել գնացքների վրա: Այնուհետեւ կենտրոնացել Է Բեռլինի օդանավակայանների վրա»,- նշել Է հակահետախուզության ղեկավարը: 

Գլխավոր դատախազության հայտարարության համաձայն՝ «փախստականի բնակարանում հայտնաբերվել Է 1,5 կիլոգրամ վտանգավոր պայթանյութ»: Վերջին շաբաթվա ընթացքում նա Համացանցում հրահանգներ Էր փնտրում ռումբի պատրաստման վերաբերյալ: Քննիչները պարզել են, որ նա կապված Էր «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման հետ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
