Մամուլում այսօր հրապարակումներ եղան այն մասին, որ ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ցանկանում է գլխավորել Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիան` ՀԱՕԿ նախագահության հետ համատեղ։ Նման խոսակցությունների առիթ է դարձել երեկ Ծառուկյանի հովանավորությամբ տեղադրված «Արարատ-73»-ի հաղթանակը խորհրդանշող արձանախումբը։ 

Վերոհիշյալ հրապարակման առնչությամբ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի մամլո խոսնակ Իվետա Տոնոյանը ԼՈՒՐԵՐ.com-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց հետևյալը. «Տեղեկություններն այն մասին, թե իբր Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ցանկություն ունի գլխավորել Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիան, իրականում անառողջ երևակայության արգասիք են։ Եթե տվյալ լրատվամիջոցին նման ենթադրություն անելու համար հիմք է տվել և նյութում էլ նշվել է, թե պարոն Ծառուկյանը նախաձեռնել ու հովանավորել է «Արարատ-73»-ի հաղթանակը խորհրդանշող արձանախմբի բացումը, ապա ասեմ՝ դա առնվազն հիմարություն է։ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը «Արարատ-73»-ի ֆուտբոլիստների խնդրանքով այդ գործընթացը սկսել էր շուրջ 3,5 տարի առաջ, երբ մեր փառապանծ մարզիկները, այլևս որևէ հնարավորություն չունենալով հասնել իրենց երազանքի իրականացմանը, դիմել էին Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին։ Նա էլ մեծ սիրով ու հոժարությամբ ստանձնեց այդ գործընթացը»։ 

Նրա խոսքով՝ արձանախմբի բացումը փորձել պայմանավորել հայկական ֆուտբոլի ներկայիս իրավիճակի կամ անհաջողությունների հետ, դա ոչ պրոֆեսիոնալ մոտեցման կամ անառողջ երևակայության արդյունք է։
