ԱՄՆ Դենվեր քաղաքը ճանաչել է Արցախի անկախությունը

ԱՄՆ Կոլորադո նահանգի Դենվեր քաղաքի քաղաքապետ Մայքլ Հենքոքը 2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 21-ը պաշտոնապես ճանաչել է որպես «Հայկական Անկախության օր»` հայկական երկու պետությունների` Հայաստանի և Արցախի (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետություն) համար: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախմբից:
Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ Արմտյան ափի հանձնախմբի ղեկավար Էլեն Ասատրյանը ողջունել է Դենվերի քաղաքապետի որոշումը` ընդգծելով, որ Արցախի ճանաչմամբ` նա բարձրացրել է իրազեկությունը մարդու իրավունքների խնդիրների, մասնավորապես Ադրբեջանի կողմից 2016 թվականի ապրիլին հակահայկական հանցագործությունների իրականացման հետ կապված:
«Մենք շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում Հենքոքի վարչակազմին մարդու համընդհանուր իրավունքներին աջակցելու, այդ թվում և Արցախի անկախությունը ճանաչելու, ինչպես նաև շարունակական պայքարի համար, որն ուղղված է պահպանելու քրիստոնեական ժառանգությունը և պաշտպանելու ազատատենչ հայ բնակչությանը այն բանակից, որը ոչնչացնում է միջնադարյան հուշարձանները և տանջում քաղաքացիներին ու զինվորներին»,- նշել է Ասատրյանը:
Դենվերի քաղաքապետի ստորագրած հռչակագրում մասնավորապես ասվում է. «Դենվերը հազարավոր աշխատասեր ու հայրենանվեր հայերի օրրանն է, որտեղ հաստատվել են տասնամյակներ առաջ: 2016թ. հայկական երկու պետությունները` Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունն ու Արցախը (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը) տոնում են անկախության հռչակման 25 ամյակը: Արցախի ժողովուրդը շարունակում է պայքարը` հանուն հայկական ինքնության պահպանման, սեփական սահմանները պատերազմական հանցագործություններից զերծ պահելու: Դենվերը շնորհավորում է հայկական համայնքին` սեփական ժառանգությանը ավատարիմ մնալու հանձնառության, հայրենիքին նվիրվածության, չնայած մարտահրավերներին` ժողովրդին ծառայելու մղումների համար»:
