Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը քրեականացնող օրինագիծը Ֆրանսիայի Սենատում կքննարկվի հոկտեմբերի առաջին շաբաթվա ընթացքում: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրեց Ֆրանսիայի հայկական կազմակերպությունների համակարգող խորհրդի համանախագահ Մուրադ Փափազյանը` նշելով, որ նախնական տվյալներով հոկտեմբերի 7-ն է նշված:
«Ինչպես գիտեք ամռանն օրենքի քվեարկությունից հետո ստեղծվել էր հատուկ հանձնախումբ, որը պետք է ներկայացներ պատգամավորների առաջարկությունները: Եղան պատգամավորներ, որոնք գտնում էին, որ ընդհանուր օրենքից պետք է բեկանվի Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը քրեականացնելու մասին դրույթը, սակայն մենք աշխատանք տարանք, և հասանք նրան, որ Սենատի քննարկմանը ներկայացվի նաև այն տարբերակը, որն ամռանն ընդունվել էր ստորին պալատում և ներառում էր Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտման քրեականացումը: Քաղաքական ուժերն ընդունեցին, որ այդ տարբերակը ևս ներկայացվի Սե նատի քննարկմանը»,-ասաց Մուրադ Փափազյանը:
Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ Սենատում կընդունվի նախագծի այն տարբերակը, որն անցել էր Ազգային ժողովում դեռ հունիսին:
«Մենք աշխատում ենք, որ անհրաժեշտ թվով պատգամավորներ կողմ քվեարկեն նախագծին: Գիտեք, որ թուրքերն անտարբեր չեն, նրանք նույնպես աշխատում են, ամեն ինչ անում են, որ այդ տարբերակը չանցնի: Պայքար է ընթանում»,-ասաց նա:
«Արմենպրես»-ի այն հարցին, թե օրինագծի հետ կապված ինչ տրամադրություններ կան Սենատում, Մուրադ Փափազյանը նշեց, որ դժվար է միանշանակ ասել, սակայն հիշեցրեց, որ սոցիալիստները խոստացել են կողմ քվեարկել:
Ֆրանսիայի խորհրդարանի ստորին պալատի՝ Ազգային ժողովի պատգամավորները, հուլիսին միաձայն կողմ են քվեարկել «Հավասարություն և քաղաքացիություն» կոչվող օրինագծի փոփոխություններին, որով պատիժ է սահմանվում մարդկության դեմ գործած բոլոր հանցագործությունները, այդ թվում` Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ժխտելու և հերքելու համար:
