Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում դատարանը գրավի դիմաց բաց է թողել ադրբեջանցուն, որը գազանաբար հաշվեհարդար էր տեսել երիտասարդ կնոջ նկատմամբ:
Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել էր, որ 34-ամյա Սամիր Հաբիբովը մահացու ծեծել է 23-ամյա Գյուլնար Վելիեւային: Ամուսիններն ընդամենը մեկ շաբաթ էր, ինչ ամուսնացած էին:
Ռուսաստանյան ԶԼՄ-ների հաղորդման համաձայն, կնոջ նկատմամբ հաշվեհարդար տեսնելով` Հաբիբովը նրա մարմինը նետել է անտառում: Հետագայում նա ամեն ինչ խոստովանել է եւ նույնիսկ ցույց է տվել, թե որտեղ է թաղել մարմինը: Մայիսի 27-ին նրան բերել են դատարան: Եվ ժանրի բոլոր օրենքների համաձայն, պետք է կալանքի առնեին: Բայց անսպասելիորեն բաց են թողել` տնային կալանք տալով: Հաբիբովը հարաբերական ազտությունը բառացիորեն գնել է` որպես գրավ երեք մլն ռուբլի վճարելով: Սեպտեմբերի 23-ին տեղի է ունեցել երկրորդ նիստը: Գուլիի ծնողները հույս ունեին, որ Հաբիբովին ամեն դեպքում կուղարկեն հատուկ քննչական մեկուսարան, չէ որ չորս ամսվա ընթացքում նրա գործում բազմաթիվ նոր փաստեր էին ի հայտ եկել: Բայց Ֆեմիդան դարձյալ կանգնել է մեղադրյալի կողմը եւ կես տարով երկարաձգել է նրա տնային կալանքը:
«Երբ դստերս մարմինը հայտնաբերեցին, նրա վրա 32 վնասվածք արձանագրեցին: Հարվածներն այնքան ուժգին էին եղել, որ նրա կոկորդը վնասվել էր, ասես փորձել էին նրան խեղդել… Փորձաքննությունն ապացուցել է, որ Սամիրը նրան ծեծել է այն հինգ օրվա ընթացքում, երբ նրանք ամուսնացած են եղել», -ցավով ասում է Գուլի Սուջայաթի հայրը: Բոլոր այդ օրերին աղջիկը ոչ մի անգամ չի բողոքել ոչ ծնողներին, ոչ ընկերներին: Ավելի շուտ նա աղջկան վախեցրել է, ենթադրում է սպանվածի հայրը:
Առայժմ չի ապացուցվել Սամիրի եղբոր հանցակցությունը սպանությանը, սակայն հենց նրա մեքենայով են մարմինը տարել Պետրոդվորեցի մոտակայք:
Պարզվել է նաեւ, որ Սամիրն արդեն հինգ տարով ազատազրկված է եղել ավազակության համար: Ոչ մարդասպանը, ոչ նրա ծնողները չեն ցավակցել սպանված աղջկա ընտանիքին:
