Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը հրապարակել Է այն հետազոտության արդյունքները, որի համաձայն մոլորակի տասը բնակիչներից ինն ապրում Է խիստ աղտոտված օդով շրջաններում: ԱՀԿ-ն նախազգուշացնում Է այդ բնագավառում տիրող «արտակարգ դրության» մասին, տեղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը:
«Օդի աղտոտումը շարունակվում Է սպառնալի չափերով՝ ազդելով տնտեսության վիճակի եւ մարդկանց կյանքի որակի վրա: Դա արտակարգ դրություն Է առողջապահության համար»,- ասված Է ԱՀԿ-ի զեկույցում:
Կազմակերպությունը կազմել Է աշխարհի հատուկ ինտերակտիվ քարտեզը, որը հիմնված Է օդի մաքրության չափման տվյալների վրա: Օդում վնասակար մասնիկների պարունակությունը ԱՀԿ-ի նորմաներին չի համապատասխանում ոչ միայն Չինաստանում եւ Հնդկաստանում, այլեւ Եվրոպայի շատ երկրներում, ինչպես նաեւ Ռուսաստանի եվրոպական մասում:
Մայիսին Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը եկել Է այն անմխիթարական եզրակացությանը, որ քաղաքներում օդի որակը վատանում Է, ինչը մեծացնոմ Է հիվանդությունների տարածման վտանգը: Կազմակերպության տվյալների համաձայն՝ Երկրագնդի քաղաքացիների ավելի քան 80 տոկոսն ապրում Է այնպիսի շրջաններում, որտեղ օդի աղտոտվածությունը գերազանցում Է ԱՀԿ-ի կողմից թուլատրելի համարվող առավելագույն մակարդակը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
