«Չորրորդ իշխանություն» թերթը գրում է. «Դաշնակներն ամեն գնով փորձում են սիրաշահել նորանշանակ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանին: Կառավարության առաջին նիստում,երբ Կ. Կարապետյանը հանդիմանել էր ՀՅԴ-ական նախարար Արծվիկ Մինասյանին, ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավար Արմեն Ռուստամյանը շտապել էր սաստել, թե ազատությունը սանձարձակություն չէ և չարժի շոուներ անել:
Բայց երեկ ՀՅԴ խմբակցության քարտուղար Աղվան Վարդանյանը խոսելով ՀՅԴ-ի ու վարչապետի հարաբերությունների մասին, նշել է, թե իրենք ամբողջովին աջակցում են Կարապետյանին: «Այն ինչ արձանագրված է և մեր համաձայնագրի մեջ՝ ՀՀԿ-ի հետ, այդ խնդիրները, նպատակները, և այն, ինչ հայտարարել է հանրապետության նախագահը այս տարվա փետրվարի 12-ին, որ իսկապես մեր երկրի առջև ծառացած խնդիրներ են, վարչապետը պատրաստակամ է և իսկապես ուզում է այդ բոլոր հարցերով արմատական քայլեր կատարել: Եվ այս առումով մենք ամբողջովին աջակցում ենք վարչապետին:
