Ամերիկյան Հյուսիսային Քարոլինայի Շառլոթ քաղաքի ոստիկանությունը հրաժարվել է հրապարակել սեպտեմբերի 20-ին ոստիկանի կողմից աֆրոամերիկացու սպանության տեսագրությունը: Փոխարենը ոստիկանությունը հայտարարել է, որ կկատարի զոհի ընտանիքի հարցումը՝ իրենց հետաքրքրող կադրերին ծանոթանալու մասին: Այս մասին հաղորդում է «Ամերիկայի ձայնը»:
«Մենք միայն դրան վերաբերող հարցում ենք ստացել, եւ հենց այդ խնդրանք էլ կկատարենք»,- հայտարարել է քաղաքի ոստիկանության ղեկավար Քերրին Պուտնին: Նրա խոսքով՝ կադրերի հրապարակումը կարող է վնասել հետաքննությանը:
Շառլոթի պաշտոնատար անձինք նշում են, որ քաղաքում պարեկային ժամ սահմանելու ծրագրեր չկան՝ կապված երկու գիշեր շարունակվող բուռն բողոքի ցույցերի հետ, որոնց արդյունքում 9 մարդ է տուժել, ավելի քան 40 ձերբակալված կա: Դրանց պատճառը ոստիկանների արձակած կրակոցներն են, որոնք հանգեցրել են 43-ամյա Քիթ Լեմոնթ Սքոթի մահվան:
