Ճապոնիայի վարչապետ Սինձո Աբեն հորդորել Է Թեհրանին՝ դադարեցնել ռազմական շփումները ԿԺԴՀ-ի հետ եւ նրանից սպառազինություններ գնելը: Նա այդ մասին հայտարարել Է Իրանի նախագահ Հասան Ռոուհանիի հետ Նյու Յորքում կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով NHK հեռուստաալիքին:

«Մենք պետք Է հստակ ազդանշան ուղարկենք Հյուսիսային Կորեային՝ ուղղված, մասնավորապես, նրա միջուկային ծրագրի վերացմանը»,-հեռուստաալիքը մեջբերում Է վարչապետի խոսքը:

Իրանի նախագահը, ինչպես նշվում Է, հստակ պատասխան չի տվել Ճապոնիայի կոչին: Սակայն նա ասել Է, որ «զանգվածային ոչնչացման զենքի մշակումն աշխարհի շրջաններից եւ ոչ մեկում ավանդ չի ներդնում կայունության ապահովման գործում»: 

Ճապոնական եւ արեւմտյան մամուլը քանիցս պնդել Է, որ Թեհրանը սերտ ռազմական շփումներ Է պահպանում Փենյանի հետ եւ իբր ԿԺԴՀ-ից բազմաթիվ կարեւոր տեխնոլոգիաներ Է ստացել սեփական բալիստիկ հրթիռների մշակման համար: Տոկիոյում կասկածներ կան, որ այդ արտահանումն արժույթի կարեւոր աղբյուր Է ծառայում Փենյանի համար եւ օգտագործվում Է նրա սեփական հրթիռամիջուկային ծրագրերի զարգացման համար:

Նյու Յորքում կայացած հանդիպմանը Իրանի եւ Ճապոնիայի ղեկավարները հանդես են եկել երկու երկրների միջեւ տնտեսական շփումների ակտիվացման օգտին: Նախագահ Ռոուհանին, մասնավորապես, վարչապետ Աբեին հրավիրել Է առաջիկայում այց կատարել Թեհրան, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
