Նորություն չենք լինի բացահայտած, եթե ասենք, որհայկական սպորտի վերածննդի մեջ ազգային մեծ բարերար, ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի ներդրած ավանդը, պարզապես, անգնահատելի է.հենց այս մարդու անվան հետ են կապված այն անօրինակ ձեռքբերումները, որոնք թույլ են տալիս մեզ՝ վստահ հայտարարելու, որ Հայաստանը համաշխարհային սպորտային գերտերություն է՝ ընդունակ ոտք մեկնելու ցանկացած գերզարգացած երկրի հետ, իր մարզիկների ցույց տված արդյունքներով դասվելու առաջատարների շարքին:
Բայց ասել, թե Ծառուկյանի՝ այս ամենում ներդրած ավանդը մեծ է, կնշանակի ոչինչ չասել, քանի որայն ինչ անում է Ծառուկյանը ոչ միայն հայկական, այլև համաշխարհային սպորտի զարգացման գործում, ուղղակի անգնահատելի է, ինչի ապացույցը նրա՝ ոչ միայն Հայաստանում, այլև ողջ աշխարհում ունեցած բարձր վարկն է, հարգանքը, որ լավագույն գնահատականն է՝ նրա նվիրվածությանը, առատաձեռնությանն ու խիստ բարձր մարդկային հատկանիշներին. Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը բացարձակ հեղինակություն է համաշխարհային սպորտի բարձրագույն ատյաններում, ինչպիսիք, օրինակ, նույն Միջազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեն է, մի շարք սպորտային գերտերությունների ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեներ և այլն:
Այն, որ օլիմպիական մեդալակիրների պարգևատրման ու մեծարման արարողությունն իսկապես շքեղ ստացվեց, առանձնակի ապացույցների կարիք չի զգում. ՀԱՕԿ-ի կողմից արվել էր ամեն բան, որպեսզի մեր օլիմպիական հերոսներն իրենց գնահատված զգան, մի բան, որն ուղղակի առնչություն ունի ոչ միայն նրանց ներկայի, այլև ապագայի հետ, քանի որ ամենևին էլ գաղտնիք չէ՝ միայն գնահատված մարդն է ընդունակ նորանոր հաղթանակների, ձեռքբերումների. ձեռքբերումներ, որոնք այս պարագայում ոչ միայն, կամ ոչ այնքան անձնական են, որքան համընդհանուր՝ հանդիսանալով արգասիքն այն հսկայական թիմային աշխատանքի, որ թույլ է տալիս գլուխներս բարձր ներկայանալ համաշխարհային սպորտային հանրությանը. Ծառուկյանի՝ սեփական միջոցների հաշվին սպորտսմեններին ու նրանց մարզիչներին հանձնված պարգևներն, իրոք, տիտանական են:
Առանց չափազանցության՝ աշխարհի որևիցե երկրում օլիմպիականներն այնպիսի փառքի չեն արժանացել, որքան՝ Հայաստանում, մոլորակի որևիցե գերզարգացած տերության որևիցե մարզիկ իր պարգևներով չի կարող նույնիսկ համեմատվել մերոնց հետ, քանի որ որքան էլ կարող է անսպասելի հնչել, փաստ է, որ անգամ ԱՄՆ-ն ու Ռուսաստանն, Անգլիան ու Սինգապուրը սեփական մարզիկների նկատմամբ չեն դրսևորում այնպիսի հոգատարություն, ինչպես դա անում են մեզ մոտ՝ Հայաստանում՝ ի դեմս ՀԱՕԿ-ի (ԱՄՆ-ում, օրինակ, օլիմպիական ոսկե մեդալակիրները պարգևատրվում են 25 հազ., արծաթե մեդալակիրները 15 հազ., բրոնզե մեդալակիրները 10 հազ. դոլարով: Ռուսաստանում ոսկե մեդալակիրներին պարգևատրել են 60 հազարական դոլարով, իսկ ահա Անգլիայում, առհասարակ, ոչնչով չեն պարգևատրում):
Ուստի՝ վստահ ենք՝ հայկական սպորտի հաղթարշավը շարունակական է լինելու, անկասելի, քանի որ դրա համար կա համապատասխան կամք, ներուժ ու ցանկություն՝ մինչև վերջ հասցնելու այն գործը, որ տարիներ ի վեր իրականացնում է ՀԱՕԿ-ն ու նրա նվիրյալ ղեկավար Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը.հաղթանակները դեռևս առջևում են:
