Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի Շառլոտ քաղաքում առնվազն 12 ոստիկան վիրավորվել է անկարգությունների ընթացքում, որոնք սկսվել են ոստիկանության կողմից սեւամորթ տղամարդու սպանությունից հետո, հայտնում է BBC-ն:
Ցուցարարները վնասել են այն շենքի մոտ գտնվող ոստիկանական մեքենաները, որտեղ տեղի է ունեցել հրաձգությունը: Ոստիկաններից մեկի դեմքին քար են նետել:
Երեքշաբթի` սեպտեմբերի 20-ին 43-ամյա սեւամորթ Կիտ Լամոնտ Սքոթը վնասվածք է ստացել սեւամորթ ոստիկանի կողմից եւ մահացել է հիվանդանոցում:
Ոստիկանությունում պնդում են, որ Սքոթը զենք էր կրում եւ «անմիջական մահացու վտանգ» էր ներկայացնում, սակայն հարազատները տեղական ԶԼՄ-ներին հայտնել են, որ նրա ձեռքում գիրք է եղել, ոչ թե զենք: Շառլոտում անկարգությունները սկսվել են մեկ օր անց, երբ Օկլահոմայում Տալսա քաղաքի ոստիկանները խոստովանել են, որ ուրբաթ իրենց կողմից գնդահակարված սեւամորթ Տերենս Կրատչերն անզեն է եղել:
Միջադեպից վրդովված մարդիկ ողողել են քաղաքի փողոցները: Տեղական ԶԼՄ-ները հայտնում են, որ ոստիկանությունը արցունքաբեր գազով ցրել է ցուցարարներին:
