Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրում է.
Ողջ գիշեր գրեթե չեմ քնել, չեմ քնել մի պատճառով, անասելի ազդեցության տակ էի: Առավոտնից մտածում էի մի բան գրեմ ու չէի կարողանում: Նազենի Հովհաննիսյանն ու Էրիկ Անթառանյանը ստիպեցին:
Երեկ բախտ ունեցա (այո՛, հենց այդպես) դիտել մեր նորանկախ հանրապետության պատմության մեջ, իմ խորին համոզմամբ, լավագույն և ամենաերկար սպասված ֆիլմը: Ես ռեժիսորին չեմ ճանաչում, ցավոք, ի դեպ, երևի թե դերասաններից զգալի մասին ևս, միայն նշեմ, որ ի սկզբանե շատ վատ էի տրամադրված, քանի որ մինչ այդ դիտված ու իմ կողմից թեկուզ շատ սիրված ֆիլմերը ինչ-որ բանով չէին բավարարում, ինչ-որ բանով պակաս էին: Սա հրաշալի ֆիլմ էր ուղղակի: Ես մասնագիտական որակների մասին չեմ խոսի, դրա մասին դեռ արձագանքներ կլինեն շատ:
Ես մի կարևոր բանի մասին կխոսեմ: Սա անկախության 25 ամյակին արժանի ֆիլմ էր՝ անկախության ոգով ու բարձրությամբ: Մենք մեր ամենօրյա վազքի ու դժգոհությունների մեջ մի կարևոր բան չենք նկատում: Անկախության սերունդը կերտում է իր երկիրը, կերտում է այնպես, ինչպես ինքը երազում է: Կերտում է դանդաղ, հանգիստ ու հիմնականում առանց կուրծք ծեծելու:
Մհեր Մկրտչյանի ֆիլմը անկախության մակարդակի ֆիլմ էր, Ռոբերտ Աբաջյանի, Ալիկ Առաքելյանի ու այլոց հերոսության մակարդակի ֆիլմ էր, Արթուր Ալեքսանյանի ու Միհրան Հարությունյանի հաղթանակների մակարդակի ֆիլմ էր, Հասմիկ Պապյանի, Տիգրան Համասյանի ու այլոց արվեստի մակարդակի էր այդ ֆիլմը: Ի վերջո, ռաբիզից ու «կիսատպռատությունից» սովահար ու ծարավ մեր սրտերի ու ուղեղների դարման էր այդ ֆիլմը: Ես հենց այս անկախությանն եմ հավատացել ու այս անկախության համար եմ ծառայում 19 տարի:
Չգիտեմ, որ մասի մասին խոսեմ, անգամ ռազմական տեսարանների հետ կապված իմ փորձառու աչքը բան չգտավ, սա երևույթ էր մեր իրականության համար: Շատ բան կա ասելու, բայց այդքանը չեմ կարող, չգիտեմ ինչպես հայտնեմ իմ հարտությունն ու գոհունակությունը: Մեր անկախությունը հենց այս ամենով շնորհավոր, հատուկ շնորհակալություն Մհեր Մկրտչյանին ու ֆիլմի ստեղծման հետ կապ ունեցող բոլոր անձանց, իսկ մեր զինվոր ու ֆիլմի հերոս Տիգրանի հետ առանձին կխոսենք: Հատուկ շնորհակալություն Բելային, որ ինձ հրավիրել էր այդ ֆիլմի առաջին ցուցադրությանը:
