Ֆուտբոլի չեմպիոններ լիգայի խաղարկությունում տեղի ունեցան առաջին տուրի վերջին հանդիպումները: «Արմենպրես»-ը հայտնում է, որ առաջին խաղային օրը, C խմբում հետաձգված «Մանչեսթեր Սիթի»-«ԲորուսիÕ ¡ Մյունխենգլադբախ» հանդիպումն ավարտվել է դաշտի տերերի խոշոր հաղթանակով 4-0 հաշվով: Անգլիական ակումբի կազմում հեթ-տրիքի հեղինակ է դարձել Սերխիո Ագուերոն:

E խմբում միմյանց հանդիպեցին գերմանական «Բայեր»-ն ու Մոսկվայի «ԲԿՄԱ»-ն: Գերմանացիները խաղի ընթացքում առջևում էին 2 գնդակով,սակայն չկարողացան պահպանել առավելությունը և հանդիպումն ավարտվեց 2-2 հաշվով: Խմբի մյուս խաղում Լոնդոնի «Տոտենհեմ»-ը սեփական դաշտում անակնկալ պարտություն կրեց «Մոնակո»-ից: Բեռնարդու Սիլվայի և Տոմա Լեմարի գոլերին անգլիական ակումբը պատասխանեց միայն մեկ գոլով: Այն իր հաշվին գրանցեց  Տոբի Անդերվեյրելդը `1-2:

F խմբում քիչ էր մնում արձանագրվեր տուրի ամենամեծ անակնկալը: Մադրիդի «Ռեալ»-ը սեփական դաշտում մինչև խաղավարտը զիջում էր Լիսաբոնի «Սպորտինգ»-ին:  Սակայն խաղի վերջում ֆանտաստիկ տուգանային հարվածով հաշիվը հավասարեցրեց Քրիշտիանու Ռոնալդուն, այնուհետև փոխարինման դուրս եկած Խամես-Մորատա զույգը հաղթանակ պարգևեց «Ռեալ»-ին: Գոլի հեղինակը Ալվարո Մորատան էր` 2-1: Այս խմբի մյուս խաղում լեհական «Լեգիա»-ն սեփական դաշտում ջախջախիչ պարտություն կրեց (0-6 ) Դորտմունդի «Բորուսիա»-ից:

G խմբում ընդգրկված անգլիական «Լեսթեր Սիթի»-ին պատմության մեջ առաջին խաղն անցկացրեց չեմպիոնների լիգայում: Բելգիական «Բրյուգե»-ի հետ խաղն ավարտվեց Ռանիերիի թիմի հաղթանակով`խոշոր 0-3 հաշվով: Ռիյադ Մահրեզը դարձավ դուբլի հեղինակ: Խմբի մյուս խաղում «Պորտու»-ն սեփական դաշտում միավորը կիսեց դանիական «Կոպենհագեն»-ի հետ: Օտավիայի գոլին պատասխանեց Անդրեաս Կորնելիուսը և խաղն ավարտվեց 1-1 հաշվով:

H խմբի կենտրոնական խաղում Թուրինի «Յուվենթուս»-ը, ամբողջ խաղի ընթացքում ունենալով առավելություն, չկարողացավ կոտրել իսպանական «Սևիլիա»-ի դիմադրությունը` 0-0, իսկ ֆրանսիական «Լիոն»-ը 3-0 հաշվով հաղթեց Զագրեբի «Դինամո»-ին:
